I cling to him, my fingers digging into his suit jacket as I kiss him right back. Renato grips my bottom, pulling my flesh against him. His hard cock presses into my stomach. We’re going to have sex. That’s the only thing I can think about.
I’m only pulled back to reality when a chime of bells sounds throughout the house. It’s the doorbell going off. Renato breaks the kiss with a growl.
“You should go.” Renato tells the priest, who doesn’t have to be asked twice.
“The back,” Antony tells the man as he hurries to the front door.
“This is all so beautiful,” I tell Renato. He really did pull the wedding off in no time. The doorbell chimes again.
“You’re what’s beautiful, little bird.” He gives me a warm smile that melts all my insides.
“Should I take her back to her room?” Claudio asks, shifting on his feet. He’s clearly nervous, which makes me nervous. Claudio isn’t as big of a man as Renato, but he’s not small either. He looks like he could hold his own.
“No, not yet. We wouldn't want to be rude to our guests. I’m sure they want to meet my new bride.” Renato puts his arm around my waist, tucking me into his side. I lean into him.
“These aren’t good guests, are they?” I whisper, peeking up at him.
“I apologize for them interrupting our special day, but the sooner we deal with them, the sooner we can be alone.” He runs his finger down my jaw. I close my eyes, eating up his affection. I’m going to fall in love with this man. There is no stopping it at this point. “Don’t be nervous. I would never let anyone harm a hair on your head.”
Maybe I should be a little more on edge with how Claudio and Renato had spoken of these people earlier. But that’s the last thing I’m feeling right now. I believe Renato without a doubt that he’d never let harm come to me. If he’s not worried, then I’m not going to be. That might make me crazy, but there is something about Renato that settles me.
“Mmkay.” I smile up at him. He gives me another one of those kisses on the nose that I’m quickly growing to love. I think he gives them to show me affection but knows if he kisses my mouth, we might get out of hand again. At least I know I will. His kisses are rather distracting.
“Let them in,” he calls.
I reach up and fix his tie that I think I might have messed up when I was kissing him. He winks at me as the front door swings open.
A bald short man in a white suit stands front and center. Kind of like Renato, there are a handful of men in suits surrounding him. Though Renato only has the other men back at the house. When we were in the city, it was only Antony with us.
What is unmissable is the beautiful blonde draped around the short man. She’s done up like a sexy Barbie. I thought Zoey looked like a pretty doll, but this woman is a super model or something.
All the women around here are rather elegant. I reach up and tuck a piece of my pink hair behind my ear, suddenly feeling really out of place with all these beautiful women in this grand home. I stick out, and I’m thinking not in a good way but an odd one.
“No invitation?” The short stubby man's question booms through the entryway. There’s a forced smile playing on his lips.
“But still you are at my front door without one, Oscar?” Renato responds. His demeanor is calm. His fingers on my waist sink into my hip. I tilt my chin up, the possessiveness of Renato’s hold on me giving me confidence.
“That was my doing,” I say before Oscar can respond. “I wanted something intimate with my Renato.” I rest my hand on his chest.
“Happy wife, happy life,” Claudio jokes, but no one laughs. Though the short man is smiling, I can feel the tension all around us.
“But is my wife happy?” Renato asks, his attention coming to me.
“I’m married to you, and that is all that matters, love.” I smile up at him.
“Then we should celebrate!” Oscar steps into the house and shakes the beautiful blonde off his arm, all but dismissing her. Her lips purse, but she quickly hides it, scurrying to come back to his side. “Whatever is your name?” Oscar holds his hand out to me.
“Maddie.” I let him take my hand.
He leans down to kiss the top, but Renato grabs my wrist and pulls my hand back. Oscar’s brows raise in surprise before a smile spreads across his face that sends a chill down my spine.
“Possessive with her, I see.”
“You have no fucking idea,” Renato responds, his cool demeanor faltering. A darkness I haven’t seen before shows in my husband's eyes.
