This was Rex’s friend’s lifestyle, not mine.

Rex was seated at the far end with headphones in his ears and his laptop open. He was dressed casually in a pair of black jeans and a black shirt and, God help me, he looked good enough to eat. I actually experienced breathlessness, as if all the air in the space had been sucked out. Heck, even my toes tingled with some kind of static electricity.

Suddenly, I had the disconcerting sensation that I had gone from the frying pan straight into the blazing inferno. The inferno shut down his laptop, slipped off his headphones, and stared at me, his eyes deliberately and totally expressionless.

REX

She was wearing an off-white long coat, a cream turtleneck sweater, a beautifully tailored black mini skirt, woolen tights, and black leather boots that came up to her knees. Her fair hair was feathered around her face and neck and fanned out in soft waves around her shoulders.

The transformation was quite startling.

She was gorgeous before, but she was irresistible now. The only fly in the ointment was the niggling idea that someone who went to all this trouble to attend her ex’s wedding must be at least still a little in love with him. Well, it didn’t really matter to me. His loss was my find. I’d never been the jealous type. What a woman did when I was not fucking her was not my business. Besides, I was not looking for a serious relationship.

She did a preening twirl, and asked, “Well, am I fine enough to pass for a rich man’s plaything?”

“Fine enough to hang off a billionaire’s arm,” I assured.

“Good,” she said, sinking into the seat in front of me.

I took a sharp breath. I was not used to having women disturb me the way she did. Her small skirt had ridden further up her thighs. In my mind she was not wearing those thick warm tights. Her long silky legs were naked, and she was opening them in a wide V to show me her wet pussy. ‘Go on, Rex. Eat me,’ she invited in my head.

“Is everything okay?” Willow’s voice intruded into my fantasy.

I looked up at her and smiled slowly. There was now zero chance I was not going to fuck her before the weekend was out. “Yeah, everything is just fine.”

“Can I get you something to drink?” Stacey, the flight attendant asked.

“Orange juice would be nice, thanks,” Willow replied with a smile.

Stacey disappeared into the back and Willow turned her attention back to me. “What kind of favor do you have to do to be able to ask all this in return?” She gestured around her with an arm.

“It’s not as big a deal as you think. The plane drops me off in Wisconsin and picks someone else up.”

She nodded thoughtfully. “Hmmm…I see, but it seems to me like you’ve called in a lot of favors for this weekend.”

I shrugged. “I guess, I just like to win.”

She frowned. “Win?”

“Didn’t you say you’ll double my money if I do a really good job of convincing everyone?”

“Yes. Yes, I did and I will.”

I smiled. “Good. Now, do you mind if I respond to some emails?”

WILLOW

“Go ahead,” I said. “I could use a nap.” It wasn’t a lie. I hadn’t slept well the previous night.

He picked up his phone while I curled up on the luxuriously soft seat and got comfortable. I actually wanted to talk to him. There was so much I wanted to find out about him, but it was probably for the best. I was already too attracted. He was just someone I hired to do a job for me. Nothing more.

Less than fifteen minutes later, we were airborne, and I couldn’t help but compare it with the times I flew commercial. It was such a pleasure to travel so sumptuously. What a shame normal people like me couldn’t fly like this all the time.

I drifted off to sleep and woke up later to someone gently shaking me. I popped my eyes open and to my surprise, I was in a lying down position and Rex was looking down at me.

“I reclined your seat,” he explained as I struggled to sit up. “We only have an hour to go. I thought you’d like to refresh and maybe have something to eat and drink?”

He looked and sounded so concerned, I had to remind myself that Rex was just someone who liked to win. It didn’t mean anything other than the desire to keep in my good books.

“Thank you,” I said and excused myself to go to the bathroom.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I still wasn’t used to my new look. It was surprising how different a change of hairstyle could make. Using the toiletries available, I refreshed myself. There was everything a person could possibly need, including a brush still in its plastic packaging for my hair. I couldn’t believe I’d slept for two straight hours. I must have been more tired than I thought.
