“You heard me,” I throw back at him. “You knew exactly what that stamp was, and considering the club’s exclusivity, the only way to know is if you had been there yourself. Which means, Austin. You’re a fucking hypocrite. Why is it okay for you to go and not for me?”

He gives me a blank stare. “Because you’re . . . you’re a good girl. You don’t do shit like that. You’re supposed to be better than me.”

I scoff. “You’re not making it hard.”

“Oooooh shit,” Becs says, sucking in a breath.

Austin shakes his head, looking at me like I’m a stranger. “Low fucking blow.”

“You wanna talk low blows?” I demand, inching closer and putting myself in front of Izaac to get closer to my brother, anger rolling through me. “A low blow is suggesting that just because I might have got a little freaky one night suddenly means I’m no good. Fuck you, Austin. I’m twenty-two. I’m not a fucking kid anymore. So what if maybe I like being fucked by a bunch of men in a room full of strangers.”

“FUCK!” Fury ripples across his face and he flies to his feet, his dark gaze shooting to Izaac’s with a strange betrayal that I can’t for the life of me begin to understand. It’s gone just as quickly as it came, but I don’t have time to process before that fury is aimed at me. He steps into me, moments away from breaking. “Tell me you didn’t.”

“So what if I did?” I spit at him, knowing damn well I’m only making matters worse, but the fucker deserves it. “Does that make me a whore for enjoying sex just like every other fucking human being in this place? Just like I’m sure you do. I’m still your little sister, Austin. I’m still the same person I’ve always been. But what it comes down to is that my sex life is none of your damn business.”

His jaw clenches when a big arm locks around my waist and I’m lifted off my feet. “Alright, that’s enough,” Izaac says, pulling me away before I get the chance to gouge my brother’s eyes out. “You two are not about to have it out in the middle of my club.”

“Let me at him. I’m going to tear his balls right off his body.”

Izaac scoffs, placing me back on my feet and giving me a shove to get me moving. “Is that a newfound kink of yours?” he murmurs in my ear, and if I wasn’t so worked up over Austin’s disapproval, I’d be a mess at just the thought of Izaac Banks saying the word kink anywhere near me.

Instead, I shove my elbow back into his stomach. “My brother’s balls and the word kink should never be mentioned in the same conversation.”

Izaac laughs, his hand dropping to my lower back and leading me to the other end of the massive bar. “Do you think you can manage sitting your ass down without getting into a fight with any of my paying customers?”

I roll my eyes and drop my ass onto one of the barstools as Izaac steps around me and makes his way to the other side of the bar. “He’s an asshole,” I remind Izaac, just in case he might have forgotten in the last ten seconds.

“He’s overprotective and in shock. There’s a difference,” he says, grabbing a glass and throwing something together, though I hope that’s not for me because the drink he made me this afternoon was terrible. I can’t imagine this would be any better. “He would have been less surprised if you’d come home and announced you were marrying an Egyptian prince. Learning your little sister went to a sex club . . . that takes a minute for a man to process. Besides, you and I both know you were baiting him.”

“I was not.”

“You were, Aspen,” he chides, his gaze darting back down the long bar to where Becs flirts animatedly with Austin, instantly getting under my skin, despite how I’d told her to flirt to her heart’s content. I suddenly don’t feel so generous. “Besides, no hate to Becs, but between the two of you, if someone were having a wild orgy in front of a bunch of strangers, it’d be her. Not you. That’s not your thing.”

“Oh,” I say, my brow arching. “And you suddenly know what my thing is?”

A smirk stretches across Izaac’s lips, and he glances up at me through a thick row of dark lashes, and something clenches deep in my core. He doesn’t say a word, but the look in his eyes suggests he knows exactly what my thing is.

Izaac holds my stare a moment too long before finally dropping his gaze and breaking the hold he has over me, giving me just a moment to breathe.
