She bites into her lip, and she squeezes her thighs together as she gazes at me. Any other day, I’d be on the girl like white on rice, trying my hardest to get between those thighs. So thick, fuck me, I want to suffocate between them. “I got a new job, and my friends are taking me out to celebrate.”

“Congratulations,” I say, handing the bartender my card. “I’m lucky to have gotten you started.”

Her cheeks redden. “Yeah. This is a great start, for sure. My room’s not even ready.”

I sign the tab, leaving a nice tip before handing the receipt and my card back to the bartender. “Put her tab on me.”

She protests almost immediately. “No, you don’t have to do that.”

“I want to,” I tell her, and her words trail off. I sign another receipt and grin at her as I tap my card to the bar. “Congratulations.”

“Thank you,” she says, her eyes bright and mesmerizing.

I reach for my wallet as I stay locked in her gaze. Unable to control myself, I ask, “Are your eyes real?”

She pauses for a second and shakes her head. “No. I got them off some dead guy on the side of the road.” I grin and she laughs. “Yeah, they’re real. My momma calls me husky, not only ’cause I’m chunky, but because my eyes remind her of a dog’s.”

Ooh, cock be still. The word chunky coming from those lips in that twang has my cock throbbing. I shake my head, chuckling. “They’re insanely gorgeous,” I tell her, and her lips turn up into the widest, most stunning smile. “And just know, if I didn’t have a wedding, and my sister hadn’t upset me, I would totally be hitting on you right now.”

Her eyes darken a bit, striking me square in the chest. “And here I thought you were hitting on me.”

I chuckle at that, and her lips curve again, leaving me breathless. I tap my wallet to the bar. “You live here?”

“Knoxville.”

I nod. “I’m not from here, and I don’t think one time would be enough with you.”

Her eyes flash with heat. “It’d be a damn good time.”

“Yeah, yeah, it would,” I agree, holding her gaze. “We’ll leave it to fate.”

Her brows knit. “Fate?”

“Yeah, if I see you again before I fly out, we’ll know. And nothing will stop me from truly hitting on you.”

“So, you weren’t hitting on me?”

I grin. “Maybe just a bit.”

“Then God help me when you decide to fully hit on me.” Everything goes tight as her eyes hood a bit, her lips part, and she leans in, her shoulder pressing into mine. She holds her fingers up, showing me they’re crossed as her eyes dance with mine. “But until then, here’s to hoping.”

Her confidence is intoxicating, and I exhale heavily. I find myself fighting the urge to skip the wedding and get lost with this gorgeous girl. I grab my suit bag and give her one last grin, which is a huge mistake. Those eyes are bewitching. “Have a good time celebrating.”

“You too,” she says softly, and then she holds her hand out. “Tennessee, but I usually go by Tennie.”

“Your parents must love this state.”

She nods. “Oh, they do. They both grew up here, met at University of Tennessee, and since I failed them by being a girl who couldn’t play Volunteers football and they couldn’t name me Neyland, they named me Tennessee instead.”

“Impressive. I think it’s a perfectly unique name for a girl with unique eyes,” I say, taking her hand. It’s soft, warm, and the touch has blood pumping right to my cock. I have to force myself to ignore my need, and I somehow get out, “Dart.”

“Dart?”

“D’Artagnan, but no one calls me that.”

“Don’t know why. It’s a badass name,” she says, cupping her face with the hand I just shook. “There has to be a story behind that name.”

I nod. “Not as great as your story, but I’m named after The Three Musketeers. My mom is obsessed with the movie since I don’t think she’s read a book in her life.”

She grins. “I’ve never seen it.”

I chuckle. “Oh, the pickup line is on the tip of my tongue, Tennie,” I say, meeting her gaze. “If I didn’t have somewhere to be, I’d tell you to come on upstairs and I’d find the movie for us.”

She grins. “Damn your friends for falling in love.”

“Rude, right?”

“Super rude,” she agrees as I back away from the bar.

I tip my chin to her. “See ya, Tennie.”

“I sure am hoping so,” she says as I start to walk away. “D’Artagnan.”

I stop midstep and look over my shoulder at her. She leans on her hand, her eyes playful and full of lust as blond tendrils fall on either side of her round face. She kicks the leg she had crossed over her other, causing those thighs to call to me like a zapper to a bug. I have to remind myself that Angie is waiting for me. She’s gonna bitch I didn’t shave, and she is depending on me to be a buffer between her and her sister. Plus, I don’t think she knows what dress she is wearing yet. I gotta go. Angie needs me, and I’ll always be there for the people who want me around. The fact that I am choosing Angie and her wedding over getting lost between Tennie’s thighs says a lot.
