I love the feeling of that for a myriad of reasons, but tonight is different.

I’m stretched above her, wanting to do something I rarely do with women I just met.

“Kiss me,” I counter because I want to feel that before I thrust my cock into her.

“Yes.” It comes out as a broken plea before her lips part.

I drop mine to hers, and fuck me, it sends a pulse of need straight through me.

Her lips are pillow soft as she kisses me in a way I’ve never experienced before.

Her hands jump from my shoulders to my hair, and she takes control of this… of this one moment in time when we share our first kiss.

She moans when I push my way into her mouth with my tongue. The lashes of my tongue against hers send her hips into tight circles. She’s aching to be fucked, and as much as I want that, I need this. I need this kiss more than I need my next breath.

When I finally pull back, her lips are swollen.

Her hands drop to my hips. She lets out a whimper that tells me everything I need to know. She wants me desperately. It can’t be as much as I want her, but I give in and shift my leg slightly, knowing that my cock is now aligned with her entrance.

I sink in with one swift push, and I instantly have to close my eyes.

It feels that fucking good.

She’s as tight as a goddamn vise, and the moans flowing out of her are fueling the part of me that wants to let go and just fuck.

I start thrusting gently at first as she squirms to accommodate my size.

“You’re good?” I ask, even though I can tell by how she’s digging her fingernails into my biceps that she’s much better than good.

“So good,” she answers.

I slam into her, feeling her tremble beneath me as I take what I want, knowing full well that I’m giving her exactly what she needs in return.

Hours later, I stare out one of the windows of my brother’s apartment and watch the city as it moves through its day.

“I’d bet money that Decky is pissed,” my brother says from next to me.

I shoot him a look and a middle finger. “Shut the fuck up.”

“When my daughter arrives, you can’t do that anymore,” he points out. “I don’t want Hailey picking up any of your bad habits.”

Shaking my head, I chuckle. “Like you don’t have any.”

He shifts his gaze from my face to the food on the dining table of the apartment he shares with his fiancée. “Brunch looks good, Declan. That’s enough food to tide me over until at least dinner tonight.”

He punctuates those words with a hand on his stomach. Even through the thin cotton of the T-shirt he’s wearing, I can tell he’s just as fit as ever.

We both go to the same gym, but I’ve yet to see him there. I hit up the equipment and weights at the crack of dawn. Sean squeezes in some time during the workday to head there.

I’d give him hell for sneaking out of the office, but I know he’s devoting as much time as he possibly can to Callie as well as the set-up and preparation for the birth of their first child.

Ava clears her throat, luring our attention to where she’s standing a few feet away. “You both have bad habits and for the record, if Decky is pissed, it’s because I cock-blocked him last night.”

“Whoa!” Sean’s hand is in the air before I can react, but I still do.

“Stop!” I shake my head. “Ava, just don’t.”

She shrugs a shoulder. “What?”

“Never use that word around us.” Sean looks to me for backup before he glances at our younger sister again. “We never want to hear that word come out of your mouth.”

That sends Ava’s head back in laughter. “Grow up. I’m engaged. What do you think I do with Harry when the lights go out?”

“We do it in the middle of the day sometimes,” Harrison Keene, my future brother-in-law, decides to enter the room and the conversation at the worst possible time.

“Shut up, Harry,” Sean and I say in unison.

“What happened last night?” Callie asks as she places some scrambled eggs on a plate.

Rygar and I stopped at a bistro on our way here to grab an array of brunch specialties he’d ordered earlier.

By the time he swung by to pick me up at ten-thirty, I was showered, dressed in a three-piece suit, and slightly less irritated than I was when I woke just after eight to find Abigail gone.

She didn’t leave a note or even a glass slipper behind.

Usually, I’d be grateful for that because I’ve never looked forward to the next morning discussion after a one-night stand. Today, I was irritated as I roamed my apartment, naked, moments after waking up in search of the woman I couldn’t get enough of last night.
