“I do need you. More than I ever thought I would need someone. And I love you even more than that.”
“We’re going to have an amazing future together.”
I have absolutely no doubt about that being true. “Want to start right now?” I waggle my eyebrows.
Seth’s gaze darts toward the spare room and then back at me.
“Don’t think about the mess.”
“Easy for you to say.”
I cup his face. “Focus on me.”
His brown eyes focus on my face.
“That’s good. We’re going to spend the afternoon christening every surface of this place.”
“Oh, are we?”
I nod. “Uh-huh.”
I kiss him softly, but when he pushes back and forces his tongue into my mouth, it becomes heated in seconds.
Then the front door to our apartment opens, and Foster and Zach step through.
“Key works,” Foster calls out.
“You gave him a key?” I growl.
“For emergencies.”
“Good. There’s about to be one. Montreal’s star rookie is about to need a hospital.”
Seth snorts. “We’re going to have to get used to it. Because that future we’re looking forward to? It involves them too.”
I shake my head. “You’d think you would have learned your lesson with ‘emergency keys.’”
They come out to meet us on the balcony, and as soon as Foster lands his gaze on me, he fails at hiding his amusement. “Not interrupting anything, are we?”
“Just remember payback is a bitch, Grant.”
Foster’s face falls. “Oh, shit, I forgot we have that thing back in the apartment we were supposed to do.”
Zach frowns. “What thing?”
I try not to smile.
“You know, the thing where I don’t want my brother or fucking Cohen to interrupt us having sex, so we should give them some space to settle in to their new apartment.”
“Wait, what’s going on?” Poor Zach looks so confused.
Seth laughs. “Never change, Zach. Please.”
Foster nods to us. “Come upstairs for dinner when you’re done so you don’t have to find plates to unpack.”
“Will do. We have a big afternoon of … unpacking to do,” I say.
Foster winces. “I don’t want to know.”
Zach’s frown line deepens. “We’re not talking about unpacking, are we?”
“No,” all three of us say at the same time.
Foster and Zach leave, and Seth turns to me. “Are you sure this is the future you want?”
I don’t even have to think about it. “Interrupting brothers and all.”
My boyfriend—my partner—lets out a contented sigh. “Let’s start with the bedroom.”
It’s my turn to be confused. “Are we still talking about sex, or do you actually mean to unpack?”
“What do you think?”
Seth strips out of his shirt on his way to the bedroom, and I have my answer.
He’s my entire future, and I will spend every day of my life showing him that.
