“Fuck, Grace, your ass is so perfect. His fingers reached around, soaking in my juices before he brought his hand back to my ass. With a growl, he rubbed his thumb on my rim. “One day I’m going to own that ass as well. Do you want that?”

“Yes,” I panted. He pushed a finger inside of my ass gingerly and I became undone, coming on the spot. With a roar, he fell over as well. My arms felt like Jell-O and I collapsed on the bed.

“I’m sorry, my love. I know you’re tired.” He licked the sweat that traveled down my spine before pulling out of me and resting with his back on the bed.

“You’re the one still recovering. I’m going to send you back to the hospital.”

“It was worth it.” I got out of bed.

“What’s going on?”

“I have to use the little girls’ room.”

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to slam into your bladder.”

“It was worth it.” I winked and walked into the bathroom, closing the door. As a doctor, I knew bodily functions were normal, but I had a hard time peeing with him over there. I turned on the faucet and peed.

“No need to waste the water, angel. I can still hear you pee.”

“Asshole.”

“That’s next. I’m going to get something to drink. Want something?”

“A glass of water.” He left, and I finished doing my business.

“Okay.”

I laughed, washing my hands and then turning off the faucet. Catching my reflection in the mirror, I laughed harder, opening the door and saying to myself, “I looked thoroughly fucked.”

“That you do.”

“Holy shit, you scared me.”

“I’m used to being quiet. Here you go.” I must have been thirsty because I drank down the entire glass in one long drink.

“Do you need another?” he asked, tipping his glass toward me.

“No. Are you ready to try to sleep again?”

“Yes, babe.” We both climbed into bed, and I snuggled my ass right back where I was. “I could stay like this forever.”

“Me too.” That was the best night of sleep I’d ever gotten, even if I didn’t get eight hours.

Chapter 12

Ghost

The sun beamed through my bedroom curtains, waking me up. Reaching over to snuggle my woman some more, or maybe pound into her sweet pussy a little, I found she wasn’t there. I turned over in the bed to find it empty and my body tender from yesterday. I stretched for the nightstand and popped the pills and water I kept there. Sitting up, I slowly gained my bearings. Grace wasn’t anywhere in the room. The bathroom door was wide open and the light was off, so she couldn’t be in there.

I couldn’t believe that she’d run out, so more than likely she was getting her day started.

As I moved my legs over the bed and planted my feet on the cool floor, I heard voices in the other room. Standing, I gingerly walked to the bathroom to get myself together. My walking improved dramatically, but like they said, I had no real injuries to my legs. Slipping on some pants and a tee shirt, I grabbed my glass from last night and then headed out to find my woman.

I stepped into the hallway to hear her father and Asher talking, but no Grace.

I scanned the room, but she wasn’t around. Immediately, I thought the worst. She left for some reason. I had to find her so painfully that my chest started aching. “Hey, what’s going on? Where’s Grace?”

“Good afternoon. How are you feeling?” her father asked, making me irritated. It took me a second to realize what he’d said.

“Damn it—afternoon? What time is it?” I didn’t own a watch anymore. That was something I needed to rectify. It wasn’t something a law enforcement officer ever went without.

“Two,” Asher said, looking at his phone.

“Where the hell is Grace?” I repeated myself, getting annoyed with them. Like a petulant child, I wanted my favorite toy now.

“Right here,” she said, coming out of the kitchen with a mug. “Want some coffee?” Fuck me. What the hell was she wearing? A pair of tiny shorts were barely visible under one of my grey ATF training tee shirts. Her bra strap showed from the edge of the collar, but it did nothing to hide her fucking pointy nipples.

“I want everyone out of my house,” I grumbled, pulling her to my side to keep her nipples from showing.

“Enough of that,” she hissed.

“We need to meet for a plan. Are you feeling up to it? One of these days, we need to inform people you’re alive. We have to act quickly before someone sees you and blows the element of surprise.” My brother might not be a Steele Rider, but he was learning to be as tough and he’d always been protective of his family.

“True. I want to nail the traitor to the fucking wall.” Thinking about those who played me and left me to die pissed me off every single time.
