Banger shook her head in annoyance.

“Do they know that he’s my brother?” she whispered, sounding hurt and shocked and a little bit broken.

I moved until I was close enough to touch her, then held my hand out.

She looked at it for half a second before she took my hand, then face-planted into my chest.

“We know.”

Banger stiffened in my arms at the sound of Bram’s voice.

I looked at Bram over the top of Banger’s head and gave him a chin jerk.

He grinned, then stared at Banger who was now stiffly allowing me to hold her in my arms.

I didn’t let go.

“We also don’t see blood as important,” Bram said. “We see character. We also know what happened to you with your so-called ‘brother.’ So no, before you dig yourself too far into that hellhole you’re putting yourself in, we don’t blame you at all for your brother’s actions. Especially not when he brought my own sister into the same thing.”

Banger let out a shaky breath, then wiped her nose on my shirt.

“Gross.” I laughed, digging my fingers into her hair.

Her bun was all but falling down, allowing me to get my fingers dug in deep.

I then kissed the hell out of her.

That kiss lasted us until way later that night.

Until the deep, darkness of my bedroom, did we finally finish acting on the promise of that kiss.

Long minutes later, when we were both panting and spent, I said, “I know that it’s only been a very short amount of time but…”

“Yes, I’ll marry you,” she teased.

I burst out laughing. “I was going to say, I want you to move in permanently. And officially be mine in every way. But… I’ll accept your marriage proposal, too.”

She snickered as she buried her face into my neck.

“I’ll wait until you do it right.”

And I would.

Eventually.

“I’ll move in with you,” she said. “Permanently. As long as you’re okay with Salem being here whenever she wants. Which, FYI, might be anytime. She’ll also disappear at the drop of the hat. And there’s also something that I want to tell you.”

“What?” I asked, turning over so that I could see her clearly.

“I’m a really big bitch when I’m on my period. And that happens once a month,” she whispered. “You haven’t even experienced that yet. You might very well hate me when it finally gets here.”

“I highly doubt that,” I said to her. “But we’ll wait. It can’t be any worse than dealing with a bunch of pissed off, easily triggered men that get butthurt like the worst kind of ladies.”

She snickered, then turned serious.

“What do you think is going to happen with Sareen?”

Her words sobered me instantly.

We still hadn’t decided.

Because she knew where our outpost was, where O’Ryan would still be staying, we hadn’t decided what to do with her.

But my guess was, she’d be hanging out at Hotel Crow for a while. And when they finally found a place to put her, she’d be going there in the quiet of night.

Hell, at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if she took up residence next to O’Ryan.

“I think that she’s going to be a cellmate with O’Ryan,” I admitted. “Because, without having the confidence she won’t talk about our extra-curricular activities, we can’t turn her in to the police.”

There was a moment of silence and then, “You should just kill her.”

I laughed and said, “I think it’d be more fun to make sure she lives the rest of her life wondering what life has in store for her next.”

She sighed. “Zero fun, sir.”

EPILOGUE

A relationship should be 50/50. I steal his hoodies, and he steals my ability to walk the next morning.

BANGER

One Year Later

“Yo!” I called before I left the bar completely.

Easton looked up from where he’d been taking a sip of his beer at the bar.

His brows rose and he said, “Yeah?”

I grinned big. “We still on for tomorrow?”

His eyes went heated and he slipped off his barstool. When he got to me, he replied with one word before kissing the holy hell out of me. “Yup.”

I giggled against his lips. “Are you sure that we have to do this all fancy-like? I know that Salem guilted you into it and all, but it’s not necessary for me.”

His hand smoothed up the length of my shoulder, then curled around until it was in one of his favorite spots around my neck.

“One of my fantasies is seeing you walking toward me in that white dress, knowing that you’re sore because I made you that way.” He nipped at my chin. “Don’t steal that away from me.”

I blinked at him. “But I’m not sore…”

And that was the beginning of him fucking me so hard against the wall right beside the front door, letting me realize just how sore he intended to make me.

The bridal waltz played, and I wondered whose idea it was to make that the song that a woman walked down the aisle to.
