When the area sparkled and smelled lemon fresh, he paused once again in the doorway to double check he hadn’t forgotten anything. Mentally, he made a list of things he needed to order. Chiding himself for not finding out Kiki’s favorite color, he would choose vivid hues. He had a feeling that’s what his Little would enjoy.

After spending a couple of hours on the internet placing orders and choosing rush delivery, Terry finally jumped into the shower. He ducked his head under the showerhead and let the water pound the thoughts running wildly around his head. He’d need to sleep well to make sure he was sharp and ready to create the rules that would govern their relationship. They would need to revisit them in the future, but this first round was important to ensure her safety and happiness.

A smile curved his lips as Terry shook his hair free of water. He’d had a picture of what his Little would be like. Kiki was…unique. Now that he’d met her, Terry couldn’t imagine wanting anyone else. She’d keep him on his toes, and he’d do anything already to protect her gentle heart that hid inside the fireball exterior she showed the rest of the world.

Embracing the exhaustion that descended on him, Terry finished his shower and brushed his teeth before climbing into bed. He patted the empty space beside him as he closed his eyes. Wondering if Kiki would be a cuddle bug in bed, he channeled his dreams into that happy thought and drifted into sleep.

When his alarm beeped the next morning, Terry checked the clock and calculated the number of hours until he would see her. Shaking his head at his thoughts, Terry forced himself out of bed. With the ease of someone used to his bachelor lifestyle, he was dressed and ready to go out the door in no time. Most days he worked from home, but he had a meeting this morning. Stopping in the kitchen to brew a commuter cup of coffee, he paused to open the fridge.

He would never allow his Little girl to go to work without breakfast. Taking a few minutes, he ordered groceries for dinner and a morning meal in case she decided to spend the night. I need to start thinking and living like a Daddy who has found his Little instead of a bachelor.

Hoping he had everything arranged as best he could, Terry grabbed his coffee and headed out to his car. There would be some snarls in the traffic during which he could review his plans. Before he backed out of the driveway, he sent a quick text.

Daddy can’t wait to hug you tonight, Kiki. Don’t worry. We’ll work everything out together. Call or text if you get scared. You could never bother me.

Pulling smoothly out onto the road, Terry didn’t expect to hear from her for a long time. When his phone rang, he checked the screen. Kiki.

“Hi, Bumblebee. Let me pull off the road to talk to you.”

“Oh, I could call later,” she suggested as he ducked into a handy parking lot and found a space.

“Not necessary. I’m ready to talk now,” he assured her.

“You don’t talk while you drive? Even with a hands-free device?” she asked.

“Never. It’s not safe to drive distracted,” he lectured.

“Yes, Daddy. I just wanted to say good morning,” she whispered hesitantly.

“I would have called but I didn’t want to wake you up. Don’t tell me you’re an early bird?”

“I am. Can I be your Little girl if I’m a morning person?” she asked.

“You are my Little girl regardless. None of that matters. Just us,” he assured her before asking, “Did you sleep well?”

“I did. Better than I have for a long time. Spike usually has to fight at least one bad dream away, but…”

Terry spoke as her voice trailed away, “Sounds like Spike and I are a great team. I’ll have to tuck you in tonight to test my theory. Would you like to pack a few things and stay at my house tonight?”

“Mmm…”

“We don’t have to move fast, Little girl. We’ll talk tonight if you’re not ready to deepen our relationship yet. I can wait until you are,” he assured her, wishing he could see her face.

When quiet answered him, Terry unleashed his Daddy voice. “Talk to me, Bumblebee. Use your words. What are you feeling?”

“I’m scared. You shouldn’t mean this much to me already. What if I screw this up?” she whispered.

“Then I spank your bottom and we start again. I’m not going anywhere, Kiki.”

“Promise?”

“I promise you I won’t disappear, and I can guarantee you I will spank your cute bottom a bright shade of red the next time I see you.”

“Why? I’ve been good!” Kiki whined.

Under her pretense, he heard the hum of desire. The thought of being spanked excited her—of being disciplined by someone who cared enough about her to call her out on being naughty.
