Was he going to kiss her?

Did she want him to?

Her stomach fluttered.

“Am I scaring you?”

“No.” She shook her head. She wasn’t a bit scared. Nervous, maybe, but in an excited, anticipatory way. “I’m not afraid of you.”

She did want it, wanted him so badly. She wanted to be with a man she felt a true and deep attraction for. She wanted a man bigger than her to press her into the mattress and make her lose her mind.

And she wanted it knowing she could trust him not to hurt her.

Could she trust Frost that way?

Her gut screamed yes, but her head was harder to convince.

But then, as his mouth moved toward hers, the ability to decide fled, and she reacted on instinct.

She grabbed the front of his cut and yanked him to her.

The second the warmth of his lips registered, she moaned.

He tasted of winter ale, sugar cookies, and excitement.

And she never wanted it to end.

CHAPTER SEVEN

RACHEL CAME ALIVE in his arms. Gone was the timid, anxious, uncertain woman he’d met a few nights ago, and in her place, a hungry, confident goddess attacked his mouth.

He held the back of her thighs, anchoring her between his legs. What he really wanted was to pull her onto his lap and grind his aching cock against her.

But he kept it PG-13.

Ish.

When he crept his fingers up the back of her legs, closer to her ass, she gasped, and he took advantage of her open mouth. He slid his tongue inside, moaning as her sweet flavor overrode his senses.

She welcomed the invasion, meeting his tongue with her curious one. They played and dueled until she passed a low moan from her mouth to his.

Then he needed more.

More of that needy sound.

More of her fingers threading through his hair.

More of her.

He stood and cupped the back of her head, deepening the kiss. When his move was rewarded with another of those sexy-as-fuck moans, he tilted her head where he wanted and plundered her mouth.

She clutched his arms and held on for the ride.

Frost nipped her lower lip, and before she had a chance to lick over the spot, he stole her tongue again.

“Frost,” she whispered.

“What do you want? Tell me what you need?”

“I—”

A loud pounding on the door had her wrenching away from him with a gasp.

She pressed a hand to her stomach and panted.

Goddamn, she looked gorgeous.

Swollen lips, mussed hair, flushed cheeks, glassy eyes.

Someone hammered on the door again. “Guys?” came a whispered yell.

Jo. Of course. He should have known by the heavy cop-like knock.

“What?”

“Curly’s looking for you, Frost. Figured you might not want him to be the one to find you right now.”

Rachel gasped.

For fuck’s sake. The last thing he needed as a prospect was to have his president find him with his tongue halfway down his sister’s throat.

“Thanks, Jo. Be right there.”

“This is so embarrassing.” Rachel pressed her hands to her flushed cheeks. “Do you think she knew what we were doing?”

He laughed as he attempted to straighten his hair. “Yes. She knew exactly what was going on in here.”

“My God,” she mumbled.

“Hey, don’t worry about it. You’ll be fine. It’ll be my ass Curly would wear as a fucking hat.”

Her eyes bugged. “That’s what I’m worried about. I don’t want you to get in trouble because of me. I don’t want to cause any trouble for the club. Curly might ask me to leave, and I—” She froze as though stunned by her own thoughts. “I really like it here.” Her voice was tinged with wonder.

If she liked it, maybe she’d stick around. Not that he should care. He’d learned long ago not to let anyone get too close.

Shit. What the hell was he doing? Moving in on the president’s sister when he had no plans to get involved with anyone. Ever.

He cleared his throat. “Better go see what the prez wants.”

“Yes, of course.” She smoothed a hand over her wild hair, and he had to clench his fists to keep from reaching out and doing it for her. “Go ahead. I’ll be fine.”

Would she? She seemed much more comfortable than she had when he first met her, but he knew how trauma worked. It crept up when someone least expected it. Still, she wasn’t his to protect or care for, no matter how protective he felt of her.

“Okay,” he said with a nod. “We’ll talk later.”

He moved to the door and then opened it to find Jo standing against the wall, arms folded and a smirk on her face.

“Whatcha doin’?” she asked in a sing-song voice.

Frost rolled his eyes. “Nice, Jo. You’re spending too much time with Tracker. Where’s the prez?”

“Office.” She pushed off the wall. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of your girl.” She winked.

“She’s not—”

But Jo was already in the bunkroom talking to Rachel.

Frost huffed out his annoyance, then shoved all thoughts of his president’s sister to the back of his mind as he went in search of the man himself.
