I wanted her to continue removing her clothes. And I wanted to be the man getting that something she needed and taking care of it for her.

I lost the smile and looked into her eyes, saying, “Be right back,” then I stepped into the bathroom and grabbed a washcloth, got it damp with warm water, and carried it back out into the bedroom, kneeling in front of her with it.

Syd had removed her pants, panties, and hoodie now, standing only in her bra while pinching her legs together tight.

“You want to do it?” she questioned in disbelief when I slid the washcloth between her legs, forcing them apart.

“Yeah,” I answered, catching her timid smile before I focused on cleaning off the inside of her thighs and, once that was done, moving the cloth higher.

She held on to my shoulders and breathed heavily.

“Feel good?” I asked.

“Yes,” she replied, spreading her feet wider. “No one’s ever done this to me before and it’s, well, honestly it’s kinda crazy you’re doing it.”

Syd was talking about her ex not taking care of her, I got that, but she was also referring to me and her, fucking without a condom, and I knew she was wondering if that was shit that happened regularly with me or not, and she was justified in wondering.

We’d never talked about it before tonight or the second I had to think before I slid inside her bare.

Also, I thought a small part of her might be wondering if I’d ever taken the time to do this for someone else before or if this was just for her.

The answers were simple and I didn’t have a problem giving them to her.

I lowered the cloth and looked up.

She was studying my face with anxious eyes while sucking on her bottom lip.

“Never done this,” I confessed, watching that apprehension slide away with the breath she expelled. “Never wanted to, but that being said, never had to either. I’ve always worn condoms, and thank fuck, haven’t had any mishaps. Also got tested a little over a week ago so you’re good.”

Even though I’d always wrapped it up when I shot for Xstasy, I’d still gotten tested often. I wasn’t risking shit.

Syd smiled a little.

“Okay.” She nodded and tucked some hair behind her ear. “I’m clean. I’ve never had anything, but I haven’t always used condoms. Marcus and I didn’t. I get the Depo shot so we’re good there, but if you want me to get tested before we do it again like that—”

“You planning on getting tested in the next ten minutes?” I asked, cutting her off.

She tilted her head.

Christ, it was cute when she did that.

“I don’t think places are open this late,” she said softly. “Or on weekends.”

“They aren’t. Even if they were, you’d have trouble getting results back that quick and I’m feeling pretty impatient right now.”

She looked bewildered. “You are?”

I tossed the cloth on our pile of clothes and gripped her hips, pushing her back until she had no choice but to sit on the edge of the bed.

“Yeah, Wild, I am.”

“But we just had sex.”

I pushed between her legs and felt the heat of her pussy against my ribs, rested my hands on her hips while hers slid to my arms, gripping me there as her face dipped close.

“And?” I asked.

Her cheeks flushed.

I ran my thumb over one. “Wanted you again the second I finished coming, Syd. Thought about this for weeks, and I’m not the type of man to be satisfied with just one hit of something I’ve thought about this much. Not if that hit’s you. Because of that, I’m gonna drag it out this time, eat you before I fuck you slow. So unless you can find a place open right now and convince someone to rush results, I’m thinking we can just go off you knowing you’ve always been clean and trust that your dick of an ex was being honest and didn’t mess around with that girl you used to work with until after he fucked up by letting you go.”

Her grip on my arms tightened and her breath caught.

“How do you know about that?” she asked, eyes searching. “Did I tell you? I don’t remember telling you.”

“You didn’t,” I assured her, dropping my hand. “But you were yelling pretty fucking loud that night outside the concert. Got the gist of it. Unfortunately, didn’t get to give you my input on the situation considering how the rest of the night played out, but just so you know …” I held her eyes to stress this next part. “Your ex is a fucking piece of shit and never deserved you.”

Wild sucked in a breath, pressed her lips together, and looked on the verge of tears.

“Oh, my God. It was you,” she whispered, voice straining. “I thought you were lying.”
