A smile settles on my lips as I watch Morgan move from room to room, excited energy rolling off her in waves. I put my hands in my pockets and nod.
“Best decision I think I’ve ever made,” I answer truthfully. Morgan skips back over to me and wraps her arms around my waist, those baby blues looking up at me in pure adoration and love. And as I press a kiss to her forehead, I’m confident in my choice and ready for anything life throws at me now that I have my permanent sunshine by my side.
“Well, I’ll let you two get settled,” Natalie says. “You know if you need anything, I’m only a phone call away.”
“Thanks for everything,” I say. Natalie struts out of the suite, leaving Morgan and I alone again.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy,” she says with a content sigh before she smiles up at me. “I love you.”
I return her smile as I tuck a lock of her hair behind her ear. “I love you, too.”
She hugs me, her head resting against my chest. “To a new beginning,” she murmurs softly.
I kiss the top of her head. New beginnings. I like that. It’s everything I didn’t know I needed. She’s everything I didn’t know I needed.
And now that I have her in my grasp, I’m never letting go.
