“Are you always going to be this bossy?” Good question and relatively new to me. “Pretty much, yeah. Deal with it.” She gave me a quizzical look as we pulled back into the school’s parking lot for the second time.
I hope she didn’t think that I was going to continue being the hands-off stepbrother who had no say in what she did. Those days are gone. I guess she’s gonna have to get used to the new dynamics, and since she’s never seen me with a girl and would have no idea what my ideals are when it comes to relationships, I’d say she’s in for a rude awakening. Her stepbrother might’ve overlooked a lot of the shit she did; I won’t.
Tyler
I was about to give her a warning of sorts, but then I caught sight of my prey across the way on the other side of the lot. Not wanting to alarm her or deal with the usual female histrionics, I didn’t let on that I’d seen him. “Are those your girls over there?” I pointed out the window to a group of her associates who were, like everyone else, in a little group.
“Go say hi, I’ll be right back.” I started to get out to open her door, then changed my mind, then changed it back. “Wait.” I got out and walked around to her out, let them make of that what they will. She smiled up at me as she stepped out of the car, which I took to mean she was pleased by my actions. “I’ll be right back.”
I almost kissed her and barely caught myself in time to change the lean in to look like something else. I pretended an interest in something on the floor mat, which should explain why I’d opened the door for my ‘sister.’
As soon as she walked away, I hopped back in the car and, with my eyes peeled, headed in the direction I was looking in. He could have no idea that I was coming after him; why would he? I’m pretty sure no one else had seen his part in what happened Friday night, and I’m positive that he’s banking on no one seeing him make the pass off to Kevin. Too bad for him I had.
I’ve had enough time to think in the last couple of days to know that that night his actions had been way too smooth. They spoke of practice and someone who had perfected the art of what they were doing. And what this little shit whose name I don’t even remember was doing, was working in tandem with Kevin to drug and violate females.
I don’t have any evidence as yet, but Steve and a couple of the others on the team are already working on that shit. No one knows who this kid is because he’s not one of the popular kids. He’s one of those types who like to hang in the background on the sidelines, the ones no one ever notices. The most dangerous type if you ask me.
He’s like those kids who complain that they have no friends, and no one would play with them or some shit—not realizing that maybe the reason no one wants to hang with them is that they’ve noticed some fucked up shit about them that makes them stay away from their sick ass.
I’m pretty sure he’s going to have a million reasons why he’s into this sick shit, but not one of them is going to matter. I don’t think he recognized me when I stepped out of the car, but it didn’t take long for him to read the look of intent on my face.
He started to run from his place where he’d been leaning on his car, reading something on his phone. Too late, “Come here, you little fuck. Where do you think you’re going?” I grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and pulled him back. “You know what this is about, right?” No point in beating his ass in if he doesn’t know why.
His eyes darted around like a trapped rat. There weren’t that many parked on this side of the lot, which was reserved mostly for the faculty. “No, I don’t even know who you are.”
“Try again; everybody knows who I am. Since you need me to jog your memory, how about I start by bashing your sick fucking head in?”
He opened his mouth to speak, and all I saw was the way he’d passed that cup of poison to Kevin to feed her, and the next thing I knew, my fist was connecting with his face. Three strategic shots well placed. Break the nose and rupture both eye sockets. He screamed and pleaded like every other weasel before him. “If I ever hear of you doing that shit again, I’m going to hunt you down and cut off your balls.”
