He swallowed hard. Was she really ready to jump into his bed? He certainly was, but he didn’t want to rush her. “Let’s go home. We can discuss this more while I feed you.”
“Okay. I’ll need to stop by my apartment and get a few things. Can I meet you there?” Tatiana asked. She already knew the way after attending several parties at Maniac’s house.
He slid his hand down to the middle of her back and brought his lips to hers. It seemed he couldn’t go very long without kissing her today. “Yes, Baby girl. Drive carefully and don’t dawdle. I’ll start dinner.”
“What are you making?” she asked as she fiddled with the front of his shirt.
“It’s a surprise, but don’t you worry. I know all your likes and dislikes. I won’t include asparagus or cilantro or the slimy insides of the zucchini,” he teased.
“Bleh. Thank you. Cilantro tastes like soap.”
“So you’ve told me.” He smiled at her.
“Will there be cheese? I really like cheese on my food.”
He chuckled. Did she have any idea how Little she was right now? “I wouldn’t dream of cooking without cheese, Rainbow.”
“Do you have yellow cheese?” Her eyes were wide.
“Both cheddar and American, Baby girl,” he assured her.
She graced him with the biggest grin he’d ever seen. His heart nearly stopped. Why had he waited so long to claim this precious Little girl as his own? The transformation was staggering.
Tatiana was an amazing businesswoman. She pulled every ounce of her weight keeping their parlor running. She was no-nonsense when a situation called for it. But it would seem she had a deeply Little side he’d only seen glimpses of in the past.
Those days were over. Now they just needed to figure out how to balance their new status so she could be professional during working hours without getting confused.
He hoped she could step back and forth between both worlds easily because he’d really like to be able to wrap his arms around her in the middle of the day in the backroom, kiss the daylights out of her, and make her melt beneath the assault of his lips.
He wanted her to submit to him in those moments, call him Daddy, accept his dominance without getting her two personalities mixed up. He thought she could do all of that, but he wasn’t certain.
If not—if it was too stressful for her to toggle during the day—he wouldn’t force her. He would let her be all business and hardworking for eight or ten hours. After they turned off the open sign though, she would be his.
Chapter Five
Flustered was a mild word for the way Tatiana felt as she entered her apartment. Last night had been mind-boggling. She’d had trouble sleeping after Maniac had left her. She’d been fidgety and antsy. She’d paced for a while before finally taking a bath. The entire time, her mind had not shut down.
Think. She needed to pack some things. That wasn’t an easy task because she never knew what mood she might be in each morning. She wasn’t the sort of woman who set out her clothes the night before. Not a chance.
Tatiana dressed each day to fit her mood. Some days she awoke feeling decidedly Little. Other days, she felt a bit more grown up. Granted, she usually dressed rather provocatively no matter what day of the week it was. That side of her style was the same no matter what age she felt.
Would Maniac think she was presumptuous if she showed up with a giant suitcase jammed with clothes? He shouldn’t. The caveman had made it clear he wanted her to sleep under his roof from now on.
She shuddered. Had he been serious? It was hard to wrap her mind around. He hadn’t been laughing though. He’d told her to pack some things. He hadn’t said how much.
Tatiana lugged out her biggest suitcase and grunted as she hauled it onto the bed. After opening it, she filled it with all the clothes already on the bed before heading for her closet to get more.
She didn’t stop until the suitcase would barely close. She even climbed onto the bed and sat on top of it to get the zipper to come around.
Next, she grabbed her giant toiletry bag and headed for the bathroom. It didn’t take long to fill that either. She basically took everything. Makeup, hair bobbles, curling irons, hair dryer. Some of the drawers she simply scooped into the bag in their entirety.
Lastly, she filled her backpack with her laptop, chargers, and her two favorite stuffies, Sharpy and Floppy. She giggled, wondering how Maniac was going to react when he saw those two very dissimilar friends of hers.
It took her a while to get everything in the trunk of her car. The suitcase was almost too heavy to lift. Finally, she made sure all the lights were off in her apartment and set her backpack in the front seat of the car so that Sharpy and Floppy could sit upright with the zipper open.
