“I was scared shitless, but I also couldn’t get enough of that thing,” I said. “One summer I think I rode it a total of ten times.”

“Shit, getting a phone call from the masonry contractors,” Nathan said as his phone rang. He dropped the photo album onto the bed. “I’ll be back in five,” he called out, already answering the phone as he headed down the hall toward the backyard.

And the bedroom suddenly felt about ten times smaller, now that it was just me and Rush in there.

There was a moment of pause, a brief few seconds of silence.

And then all at once Rush turned quickly, his strong hands gripping my hips the moment Nathan was out of earshot. I felt like the wind was knocked out of me as Rush pushed my ass back up against the deep windowsill ledge behind us.

And then I was getting hard, two seconds later. Because it seemed like any time Rush touched me, or even was near me, these days, I couldn’t help but get turned the fuck on and desperate for him.

He leaned in, resting his forehead against mine, taking a deep breath in as he squeezed my hips. My cock responded immediately, throbbing under his insistent touch.

“Don’t write a check you can’t cash,” he said in a low growl.

“What?” I protested, leaning in toward his body.

“Squeezing my ass like that with your brother around.” He turned his head to one side and dragged his lips across my jaw.

“Who says I don’t want to cash it?” I said back with just as much teasing in my voice. Every inch of my skin suddenly felt like it was burning up, like the temperature had just risen here by ten degrees.

He hummed, satisfied. “I’m going to jerk off to that shirtless photo of you tonight, by the way,” he said. “You knew exactly what you were doing with that.”

“I could give you something a whole lot better to jerk off to.”

He palmed my erection, giving it a firm squeeze through my jeans. “Send me one with less clothing on. None.”

“Oh, you want nudes from me now, huh?” I asked, dragging my lips gently across the side of his jaw. “Is that part of your dating advice package?”

He pulled back an inch, looking me in the eye for a moment before leaning back in and putting his teeth to my lower lip.

I let out a low groan, my body going molten. He bit down and pulled on my lip, sucking on it for a moment before letting it go. “I’m trying to teach you how to get a guy, aren’t I? Guys like getting shirtless photos, but they really like getting nudes.”

I caught his bluff and leaned right back in, crushing my lips to his in a deep kiss. I let my tongue slide against his and he opened right up for me, kissing me back like he’d been waiting for it, too. I bucked my hips involuntarily, and Rush shoved them right back down, putting me in my place.

Good Christ he was making me fucking hard.

“Guys also like being fucked,” I told him as I broke off the kiss. “Come cuddle me again sometime and you can get in-person nudes, instead.”

His eyes were like blue fire. He bit his lower lip, looking me up and down. “You’re so bad.”

“You bring it out in me.”

Nathan’s footsteps were coming down the hall again now, but as Rush immediately started to pull away, I yanked him back in, pressing my lips to his again and claiming the moment for myself. Claiming him for myself, even if it was just for one secret, heart-pounding kiss. I felt Rush let out a little gasp of surprise, and it made everything worth it.

I had to do it. I had to push my luck one last time before we pulled apart, when Nathan was way too close to the room.

I picked up the photo album again, paging through it. Rush raked his fingers through his hair, smiling as he stood beside me as Nathan walked in. His cheeks were pinker than before.

My brother saw us, smiled wide, like he was proud. “Never thought I’d see this,” he said, looking from me to Rush and back again. “I always thought you two would get along. I’m so glad to see it’s happening.”

I cleared my throat. “He’s all right. I guess,” I joked, giving Nathan a half-smile.

Rush waved a hand through the air. “Shawn’s full of shit. He loves me.”

“Rush wishes that were true,” I said.

Nathan laughed. I was glad that Rush and I were able to banter, because the rest of my brain was focused on making sure my hard-on went down under my jeans.

Because when Rush touched me, it felt like all of my willpower went right out the window. The day was catching up with me after being awake since five in the morning and out at job sites. The problem with being sleepy was that I was a lot bolder and a lot less able to hide my true feelings.
