My cock throbbed under my jeans, because just having Rush’s hand on me was enough to make me get turned on. Just being near him was enough, apparently, considering I was on the floor for him.

And some part of me knew, deep down, that no matter how ridiculous I felt, Rush liked this.

He really liked it, judging from the look on his face and the bulge in his pants, too.

I let out a long, slow breath, my eyelids fluttering shut just for a moment. “Please, Rush, will you fuck me?” I said, my voice low and a little hoarse. “Tonight? Tomorrow? Anytime you want?”

“Christ, you are something else,” Rush said, like the wind had been knocked out of him. When I looked up at him again he seemed dazed, lost in disbelief as he stared down at me. I’d never seen him look quite like it before.

I was having an effect on him. Mr. Cool, Calm, and Collected looked like he was drooling over me, just because I’d finally, stupidly admitted that I would basically do anything to have him inside me.

“Hey! Are you guys back here—oh—”

I recognized the sound of my brother’s voice just a moment too late as I turned to see the storeroom door swing wide open. Nathan was standing there, looking like he’d just stumbled into some sort of other dimension, his head cocked to one side.

“Nathan,” Rush said, taking a step back from me.

I bolted up off of the ground, a rattle of glass sounding out as I hit a case of bottles with my back.

“Why were you on the floor?” Nathan asked me, grinning. “Rush, what are you making my brother do?”

Rush cleared his throat. “Apparently this is how badly Shawn wants me to put that passion fruit margarita on the menu,” he said. “I was trying to show him that we have a limited supply of the juice right now, but your brother is relentless, you know.”

“You guys are fuckin’ weird,” Nathan said, waving a hand. “Shawn, we can talk when you’re not so wasted you’re crawling around on the floor.”

“I was not crawling,” I protested, but Nathan was already laughing.

“Was just trying to find you because Charlie and I are going to head out. He’s calling it a night. You ready to head back or are you good here?”

“I’m good,” I said. “I need a little more time to let this tequila roll through my system.”

It was true. And I neglected to mention that I also needed time to process the fact that I’d just hit on his best friend, really strongly, and begged on my knees for him to fuck me.

Nathan nodded, unaware of anything. “If those passion fruit margaritas are that good, I’m going to have to try one next time, Rush.”

“You got it.”

“Shawn, I’m picking you up tomorrow bright and early, by the way,” Nathan said as he walked out of the room, pointing at me. “Hangover or no hangover.”

“I’ll—uh, I’ll be ready,” I called after him.

“Come on,” Rush said, brushing past me to leave the room. “I have a virgin cocktail for you to try up front this time. And don’t you have a date to get back to?”

“I don’t want him. I want you.”

“I’ll find you after my shift.”

RUSH

An unexpected late-night rush swept through the brewery when a huge bachelor party dropped in just a couple hours before last call. They were rowdy and ready to have a good time, and I got all of my bartenders on deck, ready to keep the party rolling and happy.

Considering I’d only had about three hours of sleep in the last thirty-six hours, I was able to push through pretty damn well. As I worked, I stole a couple of glances over to Shawn, back in the booth with his date, which didn’t seem to be going any better. After another half hour, they parted ways, and Shawn meandered over to one of the pool tables, lazily shooting balls by himself.

I had seen a lot of things in my years, and I’d had my fair share of people who were interested in me, but tonight was the first time that I’d actually had someone drop to their knees and beg for me.

It was like Shawn Wood existed purely to taunt me. He was my opposite in so many ways, and definitely not my type. I never went for guys who wanted commitment. Family. Love, for God’s sake.

Shawn was sexy enough even on a normal day, but on his knees in front of me? That shit made me weak. I wanted to give in immediately. I’d been dangerously close to giving in, actually, which couldn’t have been a good thing.

Last call finally came, and as we wrapped up and closed out all of the people in the bachelor party, the night finally began to wind down. I glanced around looking for Shawn but I didn’t see him.
