Dante
I always loved coming back to Chicago. Las Vegas was definitely where all the money was, but Chicago was my true home, so I kept a place there in Forest Glen that I visited whenever enough work brought me there. As much as I didn’t want to part from Sadie, almost immediately after we arrived, I had to throw myself into business and had to spend several days apart from her. My businesses in Nevada were easier to maintain from a distance, plus I had the twins carrying most of the weight there, but whenever I came to Chicago, it was almost exclusively to work, and I got swept into it quickly.
Still, even work was more enjoyable when I was in Chicago. Vegas offered me a level of comfort I enjoyed, plus I met Sadie there, but I simply functioned better in the cold, crisp Illinois air. From the way Sadie acted, she liked it there better too. Her only area of uncertainty was that she was now in a different state and hadn’t spoken to her parents since I last allowed her to check in. She kept her phone on her most days now, more for entertainment than anything else, but I still required her to make calls around me. It was probably getting a little silly, I trusted her enough to know she wasn’t going to run or risk my business or my men, but paranoia always kicked in, and besides, it was nice to have her completely secluded and all to myself.
“You can call them,” I told her while she was expressing her concerns not long after we arrived at my home.
“Really?” she said.
“Yeah. It’s better for us both, right? Your sister said they don’t believe you’re safe and are thinking about investigating? I need you to make sure that doesn’t happen,” Dante said.
She nodded, and I could tell she understood it was more about releasing her reigns a bit than it was concern over them. We both knew I could take care of myself.
She took the permission and ran with it. She dialed her mom’s number while I changed and got comfortable after being out working earlier that day.
“Hey mom,” Sadie greeted, and though I couldn’t make out the words, I could hear the screech of another voice from the other end. “Mom, mom, calm down. Didn’t Jada talk to you?” She looked at me and rolled her eyes and I snickered.
She was beyond beautiful. In a very short time she’d grown to be very important to me. “Mom, I swear, I’m fine. I’ve… uh…” She looked up at me and smiled. “I’ve started seeing someone. I guess we got a little swept up in each other and I stopped talking to anyone else for a while there.” She pulled the phone away from her ear and mouthed ‘oh my god’ and then brought it back. “I know, mom, I’m sorry, please call the investigators back and tell them they don’t need to look into anything. I’m taking a small break from work, I have plenty of money, I’m totally safe.”
I nodded at her. She was totally safe. I’d die before I let anything happen to her. Still, I did feel bad knowing that I caused her family any panic. Maybe my method was a bit extreme, but look where we were now. None of that would have happened if I hadn’t acted so harshly. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her, and loved the way she leaned into my body and allowed herself to be embraced. She nuzzled my chest and I could feel the gentle vibrations of her mom lecturing her.
“Okay, mama. I will. Can you calm down now?” she asked. She took a deep breath that told me her mom must have been calming some. “I love you too. I’ll call you tomorrow, okay?” She glanced up at me and I nodded. “Bye.”
She hung up the phone and tossed it onto the nearby table and then wrapped her arms around my back. “That was excruciating.”
“Seemed like it. You would have thought you’d been kidnapped or something,” I replied and Sadie started laughing. Even her laugh made me happy. I was much further down a dangerous road than I realized.
Sadie tilted her head up, resting her chin on my chest and looked up at me. “Do you have to work anymore tonight?”
I shook my head. “Nope.”
“Can we just do something really mundane and normal like cuddle and watch a movie?” she asked.
I gave her a quick kiss. “We can do whatever you want.”
She changed into more comfortable clothes that I’d purchased for her a while ago, and then we sat on the comfortable sofa I kept in my bedroom, and found a movie of mild interest on the T.V. It was probably a good thing that it wasn’t a movie either of us were overly invested in, because as soon as Sadie leaned against me and the sheer, low-cut neckline of her nightie flashed a view of her breasts at me, my hands started to wander across her body, and she didn’t stop them. Against what I expected from her, after a bit of making out and feeling one another up, she climbed off the couch, dropped to her knees in front of me, pulled my dick free of my sweatpants, and slurped it up into her mouth.
