But now it’s over, and we arrive at Dylan and Frank’s home. It’s a huge house in the nice area of Monroe. Cleverly, there are actually two units on different levels that are connected by an interior staircase in the back. But lately, we’ve been enjoying ourselves on the lower level in Frank’s master suite that has a huge California king mattress, as well as a private sauna and steam room in the en suite. It’s wonderful when all three of us are nude in the hot steam, and I love giving it all up as they stroke my curves.
But right now, the expression on my lovers’ faces is grim and ominous.
“So what was that about?” Dylan asks in a low voice, his blue gaze impenetrable.
I smile weakly.
“I don’t know! I don’t know why you guys were fighting because that’s not what I wanted—”
But the men cut me off.
“No April,” Frank growls, his gaze fierce. “We don’t give a shit about the fight. We want to know about the baby. Why didn’t you tell us?”
I bite my lip and look down.
“I know I should have, but life just kept getting away from me.”
Dylan lets out a snort.
“Are you joking, sweetheart? You’re going to make us fathers, and you didn’t think to tell us the moment you found out?”
Tears well in my eyes.
“I know, and I should have. I swear, it was on the tip of my tongue so many times, but then something would happen! We’d start making love, or then Tyler approached me when I was at the pool, and you know how that turned out.”
The men frown.
“Finding out about our child is the most important event that’s ever happened in my life,” Frank rasps. “How about you, Dylan?”
His buddy nods as well, those dark brows furrowed.
“Mine too. We’ve waited to become fathers for so long, and I can’t believe you kept this information from us, April.”
But now, their words are finally beginning to penetrate through the fog in my brain.
“Wait a minute,” I begin. “So you want to be dads? This isn’t some crazy thing that happened out of the blue?”
The men shake their heads, their expressions suddenly intense.
“We knew there was a possibility, April. You’re young and fertile, and we’re two very virile men. Plus the fact that there were a few times where we didn’t use birth control meant that it was definitely a possibility.”
My heart’s racing suddenly and my face is flushed.
“You wanted to get me pregnant, didn’t you?” I breathe.
Dylan shakes his head.
“No, none of it was intentional, sweetheart. We would never go behind your back or do anything like that. But we love you, baby girl. Hell, we’ve already engaged in a cage match because we adore you so much, and we’d go to the Moon and back, if that’s what it took to keep you safe.”
“Plus, knowing that you have this precious cargo in you makes it even more worthwhile,” Frank growls, a big hand sliding over my slightly swollen belly. “You and the baby mean the world to us.”
Suddenly, tears prick in my eyes because these are the words I’ve been waiting to hear since forever it feels like.
“So you’re not angry?” I whisper in a tremulous voice. “You want this child? But what if you don’t know who the biological father is? Because it could be either of you.”
The two men merely shake their heads, pulling me into their arms.
“It doesn’t matter,” rasps Frank. “The child belongs to all of us.”
“You belong to us,” adds Dylan, his strong arms holding me close. “No matter what happens, we adore you, April, and you and the baby will always be ours.”
With that, I collapse into their arms because the truth is that I was scared. I was procrastinating with respect to informing them about the pregnancy because I wasn’t sure how my lovers would react. Maybe they would throw me out, or be horrified that fatherhood was on the way. But instead, it’s a dream come true. Dylan and Frank are claiming me, and I let myself float away in their arms.
“Yes, I’m ready,” I whisper. “I love you too, and being with you both has totally changed my outlook on life, love, and everything in between.”
After all, it’s true. The filthy twin mechanics were only supposed to help me get my car fixed that day so long ago. But instead, Fate intervened, and now the handsome men are my loves, my life, and the fathers of my unborn baby.
Epilogue
April
Six months later.
I lay a hand on my belly and look around with contentment at the balloons and streamers decorating our house. I’m in my third trimester now and feel like I could burst at any moment. My stomach is so huge that it resembles a beach ball, and yet guests at my gender reveal party have repeatedly remarked that I look “beautiful” and that I “glow.”
