I shake my head immediately. “No, and it doesn’t matter either because Talen and Torment are both the fathers, no matter what genetics says. Actually, can you even figure that out when you’re dating identical twins?”
Diana laughs. “I have no idea, but the good part is that because you’re dating identical twins, the baby will look like both of them! It’s great, isn’t it?”
I nod.
“Our kid is going to be cute because his fathers are incredibly handsome.”
Diana smiles.
“Hey now Pais, you’re beautiful and you know it. Your child would be lucky to take after you with your curly brown hair and chocolate eyes. Your daughter will be a stunner!”
I blush and hug my best friend again. There are a million emotions running through my mind, but happiness is the most prominent and I can hardly believe the news. I’m pregnant, and I want this baby, no matter who it looks like. This child was conceived with Talon and Torment, and I love her already.
“Okay,” Diana smiles. “So are you going to tell the twins now? They deserve to know after all, and I think they’re going to be super-excited.”
I pause for a moment and bite my lip. “I’d like to tell them now, but they have a really big fight tomorrow. It’s at Madison Square Garden and it’s going to be televised and everything, so I don’t want to break their concentration while they’re in the prep phase. I think I’ll tell them after.”
Diana nods. “Totally understandable. Good call, girlfriend.”
I nod.
“Yeah, it’s important not to distract them before this important match. Then again, I’m sure they’ll win, so we’ll celebrate with twice as much good news afterwards!” I enthuse.
Diana nods.
“Oh yeah, definitely. Your boyfriends are champions, and I know tomorrow night is going to be a giant success. With your pregnancy, there will be even more fireworks, that’s all.”
I hope my friend is right as she plops down on the couch and picks up the remote. “But in the meantime, we can celebrate,” she says jovially. “How about some trashy reality TV with pizza and ice cream?”
I laugh. “Okay, that sounds perfect but I insist on anchovies for the pie. Call it pregnancy cravings.”
Diana makes a pretend face of disgust but nods.
“Okay, I’ll order pizza with anchovies on half of it. I personally can’t take those little fish. They always seem to be staring at you with those buggy little eyes just before you take a bite.”
I giggle because my friend is so silly, but then we both settle on the couch and start debating the latest episode of Bachelor Nation. Yet in the back of my head, I’m not really thinking about who’s getting the last rose or the shenanigans that happened in the group hot tub scene. Instead, I’m focused on Talon and Torment because I’m pregnant with their baby, and I can’t wait to reveal the news to my lovers once their big match is over.

Tonight’s the night. The guys invited me to their marquee match at Madison Square Garden ages ago when we first started dating, and now it’s finally happening. Back then, I was excited because it meant that they saw our relationship extending into the future. Now however, I’m just really nervous about seeing Talon and Torment show off their chops. Of course, I have total faith in their power and strength. I just don’t know if I can keep my stomach in place if there’s blood, bruises and gore all over the place. After all, MMA fights are vicious, and not only that, but I’m pregnant to boot. What if I throw up all over the floor? That would be so embarrassing.
Slowly, I get dressed, sliding into a pretty pastel dress I bought specifically for the event. It’s charming with a sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves, but the tummy portion is loose and billowy so that no one can see my slightly bulging belly. Then again, I don’t think I look pregnant yet, but it won’t be much longer before I really start to show. It makes me happy actually, because I can’t wait for the world to know that I’m expecting.
“Wow, you look gorgeous,” Diana comments as she enters my room. She’s wearing a conservative work outfit, consisting of a pencil skirt and a dark blue blazer. Her hair is pulled back into a tight bun and she even has pearl earrings on.
I twirl in my floaty pink dress. “Thank you! I hope the guys like it.”
“They will,” she nods. “You’re their good luck charm.”
I smile winningly.
“You think?”
My buddy nods.
“Definitely. You look great, hon. In fact, I hope I look as good as you when I’m pregnant.”
I laugh. “Well, I’m about to get a whole lot bigger, don’t forget.”
My friend nods.
“True, and you’ll still look amazing, I’m sure. I wish I could come to the fight with you, but you know the law firm. I swear, they should just chain me to the desk. It’s been that brutal lately.”
