“Francesca.”

I freeze before turning around to look at Valentino. The cold scary beast that dealt with those men is gone, but I know it is lurking underneath, ready to resurface at any moment there is danger.

“Did you hear that?” he asks.

“Yes.”

“I told you to stay in your room.”

“I was curious.”

He walks towards me, stopping only a few steps below. “So what now?” he asks. “Am I a monster? Are you going to tell me how I’m worse than your father?”

I close the distance between us. “No. You’ll never be worse than my father.”

An emotion flashes in his eyes, but I can’t place it.

“Weren’t we busy upstairs before we were interrupted?” I ask quietly.

He nods slowly. “We were.”

“Then what are we waiting for?” I ask, arching into his body. “Let's finish what we started.”

Chapter Thirty-One

VALENTINO

She pulls me closer, her hands on my chest, guiding me towards the bed. I feel the heat of her and the sweet way her soft body presses tightly against mine.

I slip my hand beneath the lace of her underwear, feeling her wetness, and she gasps, her head falling back. I can’t hold back any longer. I pull her underwear down, and she shifts to kick it off, her body moving against mine, every touch sending a jolt through me.

When she pushes me I let myself fall onto the bed. Quick as a flash, she scrambles on top of me. God, she is beautiful. I want to lie and just look at her, but my cock is hard and throbbing with need.

I lift her hips and position her over me. She grabs my cock and rubs the bulbous head against her silky folds. I close my eyes for an instant. She will never know how much pleasure I get simply from feeling her gently rub her soft, wet, sex against me like this.

The moment she sinks down onto me, my eyes snap open. She cries out, the sound mixing with my own as I feel her around me, tight and warm. Her eyes meet mine, and for a second, everything stops. It’s just us, locked in this moment.

She starts to move, her hips rolling slowly, and the sensation is electric, sending shockwaves through me. Each movement makes my breath hitch, the friction driving me to the edge. I grip her hips tightly, feeling the heat of her skin under my fingers, guiding her rhythm with a forceful pull. The city lights blur through the windows, turning the world outside into a wash of colors, nothing but a distant hum.

I lose myself completely in her. Her scent. Her skin. Her moans. Her pleasure-filled face.

She leans forward, her breath hot against my neck, her hands digging into my shoulders as our mouths meet. It is a desperate kiss, deep and all-consuming, her movements quickening. The bed rocks with each thrust, the vibrations of our bodies merging, the sound of flesh meeting flesh echoing in the silent room. The heat builds, a relentless wave, as she moves faster, the pressure mounting between us.

This woman is mine, I think in wonder.

I watch her, the way her body arches, the way her eyes flutter shut as she lets go. The tension tightens and coils around us. Her nails dig into my skin. I watch her breath quicken and turn into ragged gasps. I pull her down harder, feeling her shudder as we get closer, the tension almost unbearable.

"Come for me," I command in her ear, my voice rough and urgent.

She trembles, her body tightening around me as she cries out, the sound filling the space between us. Her release hits hard, a wave that pulls her under, and I follow. The force consumes me.

She collapses against me, our bodies still quivering, the wild heat of our passion lingering between us. The sound of our heavy breathing surrounds us, and for a moment, there’s nothing else but the warmth of her skin pressed against mine and the way our hearts, locked in rhythm race. Everything else has faded into the background and become inconsequential.

The shrill ringing of my phone wakes me the next morning. I grab it and silence it before it wakes Francesca. We were only able to get to sleep a few hours ago. I will leave a message to the staff not to disturb her. She will probably sleep late into the morning, but not me; I have lots of work to do, starting now. I move away from the bed and slip into the bathroom.

Roberto’s name is flashing across the screen.

I close the door. “What’s up?”

“I got a straight line to Burim Boga,” he says. “I’m in your study.”

“Give me five minutes.”

I glance at my watch. It’s barely seven o’clock, but after I gave them free rein to party nonstop last night, it’s only fitting they got to work early this morning.
