“Yeah, they do a fall festival every year with all kinds of booths for kids. They have a chili cook-off as well as sell a bunch of other food. All the proceeds go toward the youth program at the church.”

Georgie leaned back in her chair. “That sounds like fun.”

“It is kind of fun. Was more fun when I was younger, though.”

She flashed me a smirk. “Do you still go now that you’re older and it’s less fun?”

“Every year—and don’t look so surprised. I’m not that much of a bad boy, Georgie. Only when I’m requested to be one.”

Her eyes turned dark and she chewed on her lip before she glanced around the restaurant. I would have paid top dollar to know what was going through her mind at that moment.

“If you’re free in the morning, I can take you to do one of my favorite activities,” I said.

She narrowed her eyes. “Is there a chance I could die?”

I laughed. “No matter what you do in life, there’s always a chance.”

She crossed her arms over her chest. “Tell me what it is.”

“No. I want you to take a chance on something for once, Georgie.”

She huffed. “I take chances all the time, Blayze.”

“Do you?”

“Yes,” she stated. “Sometimes.”

I rolled my eyes. “I want you to live life without knowing exactly what’s around the corner for once. Put your perfectly planned-out day to rest just for tomorrow. After that, you can go back to your organized, safe life.”

“What about the pies?”

“I’ll have you back in plenty of time for pie.”

“Why did that sound sexual?”

“Maybe because you wanted it to.”

She huffed and moved around nervously in her seat before she looked at me. “Fine. We can go do whatever your favorite activity is.”

“I said one of my favorites. It’s not the favorite.”

She stared at me for the longest time before she simply nodded. I nearly laughed. She knew she wanted to ask me what my favorite was but stopped herself. Had she asked, I would have said sex just to see her blush.

“You ready to head on back?” I asked.

Georgie swallowed hard. “Yes, I have some work to do.”

“Don’t stay up late.” I stood and waited for her to do the same. “We’ll be heading out early tomorrow.”

“Pffft. I’m an early riser, Blayze.”

As we headed out of the pizza parlor, I put my hand on her lower back. “If you say so, sweetheart.”

Chapter Ten

GEORGIANA

I flipped over onto my left side, hit my pillow, and sighed. I needed sleep, but I couldn’t stop thinking about Blayze. Those damn blue eyes of his when he’d said he could be fearless enough for the both of us. Or his stupid flirting during dinner. Then…the topper was his hand on my lower back, that low seductive voice, and the word sweetheart tumbling out of his mouth.

“Ugh!” I said, rolling onto my back. “Stop thinking about him, Georgie. Stop!”

I forced myself to close my eyes and concentrate on my breathing. “In. Out. In. Out.”

Focusing on my breathing had worked in the past. The only problem was, the repeated in and out of my breath only made me think of sex. And that made me think of Blayze and then that got me horny as hell.

“Fuck it!” I whispered, throwing the covers off and getting out of the bed. I tiptoed over to the dresser and opened one of the drawers. I reached in and rooted around until I found my vibrator. When I pulled it out, I smiled.

After a quick glance at the clock, I saw that it was four thirty. Blayze would hopefully be fast asleep and wouldn’t hear me anyway since his room was downstairs.

I raced back over to the bed and jumped in. It was freezing in the room. Slipping my hand into my panties, I closed my eyes and touched myself. When I wasn’t getting turned on enough to get wet yet, I thought of blue eyes and dimples.

“If you say so, sweetheart.”

“Touch me,” I whispered, picturing Blayze in his office, me on his desk.

“If you say so, sweetheart.”

“Put your mouth on me,” I said in a raspy voice as I played with my clit. No man had ever given me oral sex. Ever since Blayze had made the comment about the whipped cream after he’d picked me up, I had been having dreams about his face buried between my legs.

Squeezing my eyes shut, I pictured Blayze’s soft, plump lips sucking and tasting me. I turned the vibrator on and slowly worked it inside of me.

“Go deep,” I whispered as I pushed the vibrator in.

“If you say so, sweetheart.”

“Oh God, yes. Faster, God yes!” I whisper-shouted, my other hand coming up to play with one of my nipples as I imagined it was his mouth on me. I moaned in pleasure. “Oh, God.”

My breathing was hard and fast, and I had to remember to stay quiet. The image of Blayze over me, his long, built body moving in and out of mine was nearly my undoing.
