“Ya think?” Adrian yells. “I had to witness this!”

“You’re a priest! You’ve seen worse!”

“Have I? Have I?” Adrian roars.

Dustin laughs to himself. “We’re probably best friends now.”

“I rebuke you in the name of—” He starts screaming. “Ahhh scalding, scalding, why did it get so hot?”

I sigh and lean against the door. “Grab a towel, it’s my turn.”

Adrian turns off the shower, I don’t watch but hear his movements. “Not like you haven’t seen me naked before.”

“Yes and you were so impressed by my nakedness you went to the cloth.” I giggle. “You got everything covered, big guy?”

“Yes,” he grumbles. “I hate Dustin and yet I want to keep him around, but maybe if we had a leash, you know?” He grabs a toothbrush.

I shake my head at him in the mirror. “He just needs a bit of training.”

Adrian rolls his eyes. “How did he become this way, I wonder?”

“Oh, that’s easy, Killian said Dustin’s an Emory, as in Max Emory’s cousin. I think it was Max who drove him this way. He used to work at Emory Enterprises full time before he was offered an escape and went over to the agency. Killian said he cried the first day at work, but not because he was sad, so I’m going to guess that’s the reason?”

“Wow.” Adrian shakes his head. “Full circle. I heard that guy was one of those brilliant lunatics, can’t imagine working for him.”

Dustin pokes his head back in the bathroom. “Don’t imagine it, you’ll manifest it.”

He closes the door, leaving us alone.

Adrian finishes up and takes his toothbrush. “All yours. Oh!” He points his toothbrush at me. “And Killian said to wear the white dress in your closet.”

“What white dress?” I ask.

Adrian gives me a dumbfounded look. “Um, I’m not sure, Scar, I don’t exactly go through your closet. Oh, and Chuck tried escaping last night but Mrs. Junger just tucked him back in with some beef. I think she texted you, but you were…” His cheeks turn pink. “Very, very, very, very, a billion times very, busy.”

“Shut up.” I feel myself blushing. “I’m going to take a quick shower.”

“Yes hedonist, you do that.”

He’s gone before I can throw something at him.

I’m sluggish but ready in no time after Adrian brings me coffee. I keep telling myself I’m crazy, but I’ve done things the normal way. This just seems like the way it was supposed to go the whole time.

My wedding to a rockstar.

No, my wedding to the man I love, Killian Stone.

When I finally go to my closet to put on my dress, I do see a white one hanging there. It’s a silvery white, and has a slit completely up the side, the train pools around my feet. In a Grecian style, it ties with an embellished knot at the waist before coming up to a structured strapless top with tiny crystals sewn in.

How did he even get this here on time?

There’s a bag attached to it with a gorgeous gray corset and matching thong and inside of that is a box.

I open it quickly and find two silver bands; they’re simple but beautiful. My smile gets bigger when I see silver heels in the same bag.

“How did he do this?” I make a mental note to ask him later: when did he do this?

I briefly remember him leaving when we got back to the room, but it was at least six at night, and the closest designer you can get is probably Seattle?

Can you even overnight ship that late?

I smile down at the dress and put on everything as carefully as possible, then walk out to see the guys.

They’re both dressed in gray slacks and off-white shirts with silver ties. They look incredible.

Seriously when did he do this?

Adrian smiles over at me. “I know your mind’s spinning right now, not from the wine but from the surprises, so just bask in the fact that your fiancé thought of everything.”

I nod so I don’t burst into tears, then whisper. “Can you zip me?”

“Cruel woman.” He grins. “Turn around.”

His hands are warm and firm as he zips up my dress and kisses the back of my head. “Perfect, best friend, just perfect.”

I turn and hold out both hands to them. “All right, let’s do this.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Killian

I called my agent the minute we got back to the house, broke the news, threatened to fire her, then after she calmed down and realized I was serious, she helped me get a courier to drive all the way from Seattle with the clothes, shoes, lingerie, and rings.

It wasn’t cheap, but we did offer them a free overnight stay plus all expenses paid on top of double their hourly rate. They were more than happy to make the nearly four-hour trip.

I’m more nervous right now than I was playing sold out shows all over the world. I think I might actually puke.
