“We’re going to head out now. Get your shit because I need to spank your ass for putting yourself in danger.”

“I haven’t yet.”

“But you set it for tomorrow. Brains and booty. I’m going to fuck the hell out of you all through the night.”

Several hours later, we finally come up for air and I’m still unhappy with the idea of her going into the office with Jason being there. It’s not safe as far as I’m concerned because I don’t know who he has working for him. It might just be the four fuckers, but when you run a trafficking ring, it’s not just the main guys. They have buyers, handlers, and middlemen along the way.

I toss the covers off and climb out of the bed.

“What’s wrong?” January sits up in bed, placing the sheet over her ample tits. Damn, I could tug that fucker off right now and push her back down, fuck the stress out right now between her thighs, but I know she’s going to be too damn sore.

“I need to work out,” I grumble.

“You don’t call that a workout?” she says, sounding bewildered, sweat still on both our bodies. I know I’m being unfair to her, but I’m not used to this. I’ve been alone my entire life, and now she’s here and things are different.

“I need a different kind of workout.”

“Okay. Do you have anything to eat? I’m kind of hungry.” Shit. I forgot to feed us in my urge to get her home and fuck her. “Don’t look so distraught. It’s okay. I can wait.”

“No, there’s food. I just forgot to make you something.”

“Relax. Just point me in the right direction, and get that aggression out while I get some food.” She jumps out of bed, losing the sheet, and her tits bounce in my face. I scoop her up, sucking one of those fat suckers in my mouth. “Let’s go.” I walk with my mouth latched to her chest.

Once we get to the kitchen, I finally release her, setting her down on her feet. “Sweetheart, having you naked in the kitchen is a dream come true.”

“I just better be careful not to fry anything,” she teases. I slip off my shirt and slide it onto her body.

“That should help. I’ll be back in a little while.” I kiss her once more and head down to my gym and go a few rounds to destress.

Flavio has been working around the clock on this, but I don’t like sitting on my thumbs. After my sweaty workout, I run up the stairs and check on January, but she’s no longer in the kitchen.

So, I head into my office and give Flavio a call from my desk office. It takes forever for him to answer. “Son of bitch. What took you so long to answer?”

“It’s only two in the morning.” Fuck. I took off my watch and didn’t even bother to look at the time. “Some of us average humans actually sleep, you know,” he grumbles.

“Sorry. I wanted to know what you got on Strongman.”

“He’s got a small network of street hustlers and pimps. They don’t know him since most of the people were associated with Thompson and Johnson. They were the messengers. Strongman looks to be the shadow man. No one sees him, and he has no ties other than the connection to Ms. Holmes and the cop, which we realized when you went after him the other day.”

“Damn, I need a way to get to him. We need a way to tie him to the trafficking without getting our hands dirty.” We can’t afford to be implicated in Johnson’s death, although right now, it’s looking like Coleman’s the killer.

“I say we need someone at his station to rat him out, or maybe someone close to him who knows his whereabouts.” Damn it, so far it looks like everything leads to my woman going back into the lion’s den.

“Fine. Well, everything is underway for that. Goodnight.” I end the call and find January by the door, leaning on it. “I wondered where you were.”

“I went to bed, thinking maybe you’d come join me, but it’s not looking like you want to sleep tonight.” She seems sad and I know that it’s my fault somehow.

“I’m coming up right now, but I have to rinse off.”

“You must have had a lot of stress to unleash.”

I brush my fingers under her chin. “Some of it I took out on your sweet pussy, but I don’t think your cunt could handle the darkness I had left in me.”

She smirks and then raises her eyebrow with attitude. “Why? Do you think I’m weak, Mr. Barone?”

“No, I just don’t want to be too rough with you.”

“Says the man who tied me up and threw me in the trunk of a car.”

“I think you have a point. Besides, I believe you’re tough enough to deal with my rage.”
