I steal his warm towel off the heated towel rack, leaving him with nothing, and as I go to walk out of his bathroom, I look back, meeting his confused stare. “Get your ass downstairs, cowboy, because I’m about to bust it wide open.”

CHAPTER 21

“Alright,” I demand, staring down the four assholes who sit before me, three of them wondering why I’m wearing nothing but a towel with my hair still dripping wet while the other holds his tongue. “You have three seconds to explain why the fuck you bitches have followed me around like a bad smell all day, and don’t act like you weren’t. I know you purposefully avoided me at lunch just to avoid this bullshit now.”

The boys share glances between themselves, and I can’t help but feel that a million messages are passing between them, messages that I can’t even begin to work out. “Umm,” King says, drawing my attention his way. “I think the bigger question is why the fuck are you wearing nothing but a towel? Did you just shower?”

“Of course I just showered,” I snap, watching the confusion filter over the guys’ faces. “Do you think I just like to bust into peoples’ homes and walk around in a towel for fun?”

King shrugs his shoulders. “I mean … I don’t know you that well. You’re not exactly an easy chick to read, but why the fuck did you shower just now? It’s a bit of a weird time of the day to shower, don’t you think? Do you usually just walk into other people’s homes then decide to strip down to your birthday suit, and shower before even telling them you’re there?”

I roll my eyes, not wanting to get distracted by this bullshit topic change, while also wishing that I’d used a better excuse like falling in the pool or getting dirty outside. At least that would explain why I don’t have any clothes to wear. Had I showered like a regular human being, I’d have dry clothes to put back on, but dickheads like me apparently like to walk straight in fully clothed, allowing a long, hard cock and a stone-hard body to make a fool out of me.

I focus my stare on King. “My shower habits and what I am or am not wearing right now is irrelevant, so don’t even bother trying to change the topic again. Why were you all being assholes today?” Grayson just grunts and I amend myself, glancing at the other three. “Okay, why were you three bigger assholes than usual? I thought the asshole role was usually just Grayson’s thing.”

Cruz chokes back a laugh and slices his stare to Grayson, loving that he was just called out for his usual bullshit. “I don’t know about these guys,” Cruz says, his sparkling eyes hitting mine as a secretive grin pulls at his lips, telling me that he’s currently picturing the sight of me fucking myself and remembering the taste of my cum on his tongue. “But I feel as though I was extra sweet today.”

I bite my tongue, resisting the urge to throw a cushion at his face, or possibly my fist. “Stop being a dick,” I tell him. “You were being a complete asshole, just like the other guys, and I want to know what’s up? Is this some Dynasty bullshit where you need to keep me in check and are going to go about it in all the wrong ways, making me try harder to get away from you?”

Cruz meets my stare, something hardening in his eyes. “You don’t like hanging out with us?”

“I …” I shake my head. “That’s not what I said,” I tell him. “I don’t like my freedom being taken from me, and if it continues in the obviously douchey way that you’re all going about it, then yeah, I’m going to start resenting you guys. I know we all started off a bit rocky, but I don’t really want to have to hate you guys,” I turn my gaze to Grayson, just to throw his usual bullshit back at him. “Except for you, I’d happily hate on you.”

Grayson narrows his eyes as his lips twist into a sneer while I grin back at him, feeling like a complete badass, despite not really being sure if I even hate him at all. I mean, can I even hate the guy after he saved my ass? That just seems like a bitch move.

Before I get sidetracked thinking about it too much, I turn back to the others. “I can put up with a lot of bullshit, but I won’t put up with that,” I tell them. “Be real with me. What the fuck is going on?”

Carver lets out a sigh and scoots up on the couch so that he sits on the armrest. “This is all on you,” he explains, giving me the cold, hard facts, and not being shy about it either. “We’re not being douchey stalkers because Dynasty is making us, we’re keeping close to you because you decided to be a fucking idiot and take yourself back to Kurt and Irene’s place against our better judgment.”
