“No,” I said, then I realized I wasn’t the only one with a say in where I lived now. Sutton and I would decide together. I turned to her. “Unless you want to live in Highgate?”
“I like Hampstead,” she said. “The hospital’s there and Parker and Tristan have finally found a house they like there.”
“No,” I said to Nathan. “We’re not moving to Highgate.” I turned to Sutton. “Are we moving?”
“Not if we’re getting married in a few weeks. One thing at a time, right? And I like your house. I’ll like it even more when we put the library in.”
I pulled her close. “It’s our house.” I turned to the others. “If she calls it my house again, we’ll move.”
Mum raised her glass. “To my eldest son and my newest daughter. May you be as happy as your father and I have been. May you be as loyal as Zach, as lucky as Beau, and as rich as Nathan and Madison.”
I clinked glasses with Sutton. “Welcome to the Cove family.”
