There are pacts and then there are provisos. Loopholes, if you will. This sharing loophole is the best motherfucking proviso of all time.

As Trina hangs back to text her friend, Chase and I pay the bill at the counter. No need to beat around the bush, so while I’m waiting for the attendant to return with my credit card, I pull Chase aside to ask the blunt question. “Since she’s never done this before, you got an idea of how you want this to go?”

Even though we’re open in the post-Abby era about who we’re seeing, we’ve never done a chapter-and-verse rundown of our past experiences, nor do I want to. That shit is personal. He hasn’t needed to know I’ve had a few three-ways. I’ve always been the third party though—the guy invited into an existing couple for one night, usually to blow a woman’s mind for her birthday or something. Worked for me since they didn’t involve entanglements.

And in those cases, I took the cues from the two of them, since they’d often have mapped out how they wanted me to play with her.

That worked for me too. I don’t want to be the center of attention—not before or after a hockey game, and not in the bedroom either. But I do want the woman I’m with to feel spectacular.

“I’m thinking,” Chase answers, then he’s quiet for a minute, staring off into the distance. Even though we don’t play on the same team now, we have in the past. That’s the look he gets in his eyes before he takes the lead on the ice or in the locker room.

After he blows out a breath, he turns back to me, confident, certain. “I have a few ideas about how this can play out, depending on what she wants. Overall, the way I see it in my head, it’s gotta be like scoring in hockey. Sometimes you get the assist, and sometimes you score the goal. We’ll just trade off.”

“And blow her brains out for the win,” I say with a decisive nod.

“Twice.”

I scoff. “Don’t set the bar so low, Weston. She needs more Os than there are dudes.”

“Good point. Let’s do it,” he says, and we trade a few more ideas for the rest of the night.

Like in hockey, you need a game plan for a three-way, and also ground rules.

And we need to know what she wants and doesn’t want.

Once we’re in the limo, I don’t take the sideway bench again. I sit next to her so she can be between us, right where she clearly wants to be. “We should set the GRs,” I say, diving right into the business of pleasure.

Trina nods a few times, her eyes wide, maybe with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Both are hot. I can’t wait to make her forget her worries and just let go in bed.

But the driver’s lowering the partition. “Excuse me for interrupting. Where did you want me to take you now?”

Oh, right. A destination would be helpful. Trina said she was staying with a friend. “I’m having my floors done tomorrow, so I had to move a bunch of furniture around. My place is out,” I say, since I hate messes. Don’t want to bring a woman home to see one. That’s just rude.

Chase gives the guy the address to his place in Pacific Heights, then raises the partition and tilts his head, looking Trina’s way. “Ground rules. Ladies first.”

Trina parts her shiny lips—she’s reapplied her gloss—but she’s uncharacteristically quiet. I don’t think it’s from a lack of things to say. Based on how wide her green eyes are, I suspect her brain is popping with filthy images.

“Well, I guess the first is…are you two into touching each other?” There’s no agenda in her question—just curiosity.

And it’s a good question. But easy to answer. “Nope,” I say, at the same time that Chase answers with a “No. That cool with you?”

It’s not accusatory. He’s just feeling her out.

“Totally cool,” she says, her tone light. “I mean, if you’d wanted to do that, it’d be fine. But I’m okay being the…”

“Center of attention,” I supply.

She dips her face. “Yes.”

“You will be,” Chase says confidently. “Tonight is all about you. Every dirty fantasy. We’ll give it to you. Isn’t that right, Samuels?”

I tuck a finger under her chin, making her meet my eyes. “Don’t be shy. Say what you want. Makes me hard hearing it.”

“Yeah, it’s fucking hot when you tell us what you want us to do,” Chase adds, and when Trina shudders, I can already tell she loves being surrounded by us, bodies and words.

She turns to me, looking up from behind those sexy glasses, then reaches a hand to stroke my beard. Fuck yes, her hand feels good. I let out a low moan.
