He did this until something I’d never felt before happened.

My legs trembled dangerously around his head, my fingers clutching the comforter, on the verge of ripping right through it. My eyes squeezed tight and my back arched.

This something that happened was heated and strong and came at me wave after wave.

An orgasm.

That’s what it was.

An intense one.

My body didn’t know what to do. I had no control of myself.

“Drake, oh my gosh! Wait!” I cried out, trying to force his head away. He didn’t budge. He remained glued, tongue lapping, so softly it didn’t seem possible to still shudder beneath him. “Holy shit!” I cried.

He moaned in response, vibrating between my legs.

When my body finally settled, I was panting like I’d run a marathon. Drake lowered my hips and then perched on his knees. He grabbed the condom from the nightstand, lowered his trunks, and boom. Just like that he was free.

He was long.

And thick.

His size was daunting.

I can remember every detail of him.

A thick, round tip.

Smooth, tan flesh around one solid, slightly veined muscle, hung perfectly between his legs.

He ripped the foil with his teeth, tossing it aside and sliding the rubber down to his shaft. He then moved forward, and I flinched as he hovered above me.

“It was sexy, watching you unravel like that,” he whispered in my ear. I could feel him bumping at my entrance.

Goosebumps ran down my arms, a chilly feeling drifting up my spine.

I realized that maybe—just maybe—I had no idea what I was really in for with him. He’d held off on me for a reason.

“Drake,” I whispered just as he started to kiss me.

“Yeah?”

“I have something to tell you.”

“What is it?” He looked at me oddly, his head tilting.

“I’m um… well, I’ve never actually done this before.”

His face went board straight, his eyes thinning. “Never done this before?” he repeated. He blinked rapidly, pushing up on his hands to look at me wholly.

I wasn’t sure if he’d caught how much I was trembling, or maybe he saw how innocent I seemed during this moment.

“I know you haven’t,” he said.

Ten weights fell off my shoulders. “You do?”

He nodded.

I sat up, forcing him away. “Is that why you held off on me?”

“For the most part.”

“Why?” My voice was full of disbelief.

“Because you are a fucking virgin, Jenny. I’ve never fucked a virgin before. I didn’t know how to go about it, to be honest.”

“I don’t want you to think I’m not as good as all the other girls you’ve probably slept with.”

“Are you fucking kidding?” He shook his head. His jaw was fixed now, his throat working hard as he swallowed. “Jenny,” he said calmly as he leaned forward. “Think about what you’re saying. Do you really think those girls mattered to me? Huh? You think I actually cared about what I did to them?”

“I don’t know.” I stared down and, ashamed of my nakedness now, I folded my arms tightly over my chest.

“Jenny, I don’t give a shit about any of those girls. With them it was just quick fucks, but with you—well, shit, it’s fucking different. You bring a lot of shit out of me. I’ve spent all this time with you. Hell, I pretty much love—”

I whipped my head up, watching as Drake’s mouth clamped shut in an instant. He looked at me as if I’d done or said something wrong.

“What were you going to say?” I asked.

“Nothing,” he mumbled, and then he climbed off the bed. “It’s nothing.”

“No.” I hopped off the bed with him and clutched his wrist before he could grab his swimming trunks. His eyes met mine, and he wore a frown. “Drake, what were you going to say?”

“It’s nothing, Jenny. Just forget it.”

I looked him over, but what I realized most was the look in his eyes. I’d never seen them this way before. He was panicking.

“Were you going to say you….love me?”

His eyes flashed up to mine again, but this time they stuck like glue. He didn’t pull away or bother speaking. The answer was right in those bright green eyes of his.

All of his affections, all of his caring—all of his love.

Drake could love. I knew that from the start, but he had this guard up—one that could fool others, but it could never fool me.

“You love me?” I whispered. I was shocked. I never thought in a million years that—well… that Drake Davenport could ever love me.

He finally tore his gaze away. “Are we having sex or what?” he snapped.

I frowned. “Don’t do that.”

“Do what?” His tone was agitated.

“Don’t pretend you don’t care about me now. I’m not stupid, Drake. Just say it.”

“Say what!?”

“Just say what you were going to tell me! Tell me that you love me!”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“No, Jenny! Just fucking stop.” He snatched his wrist out of my hand, picking up his swimming trunks again.
