Her eyes bounce between mine. They’re mixed with confusion and curiosity.

“I dated your brother,” she whispers.

“Did I ask you to date me?”

“No, but this is all a lot, Tripp.”

“You didn’t have sex with Brock,” I say.

Her eyes widen as she bites her lower lip. “How do you know?”

“I asked him.”

“What? When? I mean, why?”

“I’m a curious person, Millie,” I whisper as my eyes run the length of her sexy body.

“It feels wrong,” she whispers back.

“What feels wrong? Me wanting to help you or you wanting my help?”

She shakes her head and moves a few steps away. “All of it. Sex isn’t supposed to be set up with a time and a place. It’s not supposed to feel like an obligation. That’s what this is. You feel obligated to help me and it’s wrong. It’s all wrong.”

“Who said anything about setting up a time and place? I’m not a plotter, I’m a pant-ser.”

She grins, tucking her hair behind her ears. “Either way, it doesn’t change that it feels wrong.”

“You want rules? Will that help?”

Paxton and Hartford had rules when he offered his help to her. Maybe that’s what Millie needs. I’m not entirely sure, but every time she says it feels wrong, it turns me on more. Doing something that is forbidden makes it that much more enticing.

Her eyes sparkle, pulling me in deeper as she searches my face. “What kind of rules?”

“How about rule number one? This stays between us. I know we’re both good at keeping secrets.”

She rushes away from me and I hang my head. I’m pressuring her and she’s had enough. I should just walk away before she starts hurling books at me.

Feeling defeated and embarrassed, I turn around.

“Here,” she says, a bit out of breath.

I turn back around and she hands me a notepad and pen. My smile is unstoppable as my pulse races with excitement.

Millie wants my help.

My eyes darken as I stare at her.

Fuck, I’ve never wanted something more in my life.

Chapter 9

Millie

Am I really going through with this? I think I am.

I hand the notepad and pen over to Tripp and watch as he writes the first rule down.

“First rule of sex club, is you do not talk about sex club,” he says with a small laugh.

It helps ease my nerves. “Should there be a rule about kissing?” I ask, and Tripp’s eyes connect with mine.

“Do you not want to kiss?”

I shrug casually, thinking about what it would be like to kiss Tripp Atwood. My stare falls to his plump lower lip just as he rakes it between his teeth. “Um,” I say, desire pooling low in my belly. “I think kissing is okay.” I want to kiss him right now.

Something happens to his eyes the moment I say kissing is okay. It’s like the thought of kissing me excites him or something.

He inches closer. “I definitely think kissing should be involved.”

My cheeks flame red-hot. “What if you won’t be able to get the job done?” I ask, and he laughs. “It’s a serious question,” I say. “My other boyfriends thought they were kings of sex too, and they couldn’t get the job done. I think I’m the problem,” I admit, feeling defeated.

“Why do you think that?” Tripp asks.

I’m impressed that he didn’t immediately state that it didn’t matter, and he didn’t go all alphamale on me and say he’s got so much experience that he can make me come just by looking at me. “Well, because. Nobody’s ever been able to get me off.” I shrug.

“I don’t think you’re the problem, Millie. I think you’re a good girl who’s afraid to let go,” he whispers, stepping closer. He sets the notepad and pen down. “I think you’ve got this naughty side dying to get out, and you’ve been with strait-laced motherfuckers who wouldn’t know how to get you off if they had a roadmap.”

My breath catches in my throat. I swallow, blinking up at him. “You think that?”

He moves his body, his arms reaching out on either side of me to rest on the counter behind me. I’m trapped, and he leans in closer. He smells intoxicating, and my heartbeat picks up. “I think you need someone who isn’t afraid to talk a little dirty to you. Treat you like the naughty girl you so desperately want to be.” Our noses are practically touching.

I blink. “You want to talk dirty to me?” I whisper.

“So fucking dirty, Millie.” He leans in, capturing my lips with his.

The kiss is electric and so so good. His mouth moves over mine, his tongue pressing at the corner of my mouth, begging me to open for him. I do, I so do. His hands flood into my hair, tugging and pulling, angling my head so he can deepen the kiss. I moan, and my body comes alive with this fire I’ve never felt before.
