Oh boy, looked like I was getting all his insecurities right away. He was lucky I was great at tackling that shit.

“I’m not the Daddy Dom most Littles fantasize about,” he finished.

I inched away on the pillow, just enough to be able to look him in the eye. “You’re the Daddy Dom I fantasize about.” I blinked tiredly and tried to wake myself up some more. “You’re saying all this to warn me. You’re scared. But you’re under the impression I’m expecting…I don’t even know what.” I smoothed out the worry crease between his brows with my finger. “I may be into animal play and leaving social standards behind, but I still live in the real world. I also grew up with you, and I know you’re strong in every way imaginable. You’ve been knocked down—mentally, emotionally, and physically. And it’s going to take time for you to get back on your feet. So to speak.” I grinned quickly, relieved he saw the humor in the saying. “I meant what I said, though. Just be with me. Don’t leave me again. Everything else…it’ll just make life interesting, I guess. Either way, they’re not issues for me. They’re part of what makes you who you are, and you’re the one who once told me we’re always changing.”

He smiled and rested his forehead to mine.

“If you wonder who made me this way—made me this smart—look in a fucking mirror,” I murmured.

He chuckled and kissed me. “I’ll take an ounce of credit, no more than that. And leaving you is out of the question.” He was about to say something else, but we were interrupted by more kinksters leaving the party for the night.

I smiled ruefully and blocked out their chattering. “Cameron and I have a room, and you and Lucian have a cabin. Maybe we should pick one.”

He grimaced a little. “Unfortunately, I’m going to have to ask you to find Lucian for me. I can’t walk another second.”

“Are you in pain?” I didn’t know how his paralysis worked. I had a lot to learn. And he was stupid if he for one second thought I was looking for a Daddy to handle all the grunt work while I reaped all the benefits. I was still a submissive who wanted to serve.

“No, not at all—I’ve just run out of steam,” he replied. “When my legs spasm, it’s time to rest. I can barely move them.”

“Okay. Where’s your chair?”

“In the cabin.”

I nodded and sat up. “I’ll see if I can find Lucian too. Otherwise, I’ll just grab the chair. I’m strong like a tiger, you know.”

I borrowed his shirt, not caring that it would look like a dress on me. I just didn’t wanna streak through the club.

I knocked on the door and crossed my feet. The light was on in the window next to the door, so maybe Lucian and Cameron were here. Crap, I hoped I wasn’t interrupting them fucking or something. I’d feel awful.

Lucian opened the door seconds later, dressed in a pair of sweats.

Well, hello. I’d never seen him without a shirt before. He was almost as hot as Daddy. And Lucian had chest hair too—that was my favorite.

“Noa—is everything all right?”

Right. I was here on a mission. I snapped my gaze to his face instead. “Good evening, Sir. Do you know where KC’s chair is? He’s on the front porch and can’t walk anymore. Also, do you have a bathroom I can borrow? Because I have his come dripping out of my butt.”

Amusement lit up his eyes, but what caught my attention even more was Cameron’s laugh coming from inside the cabin.

I smiled widely and hollered to him. “Hi, babe!”

“Hey, sweetie,” he chuckled.

“Come on in, kiddo.” Lucian opened the door wider for me. “Bathroom’s right there in the corner.”

Oh wow, this place was all kinds of perfect. We were talking proper log cabin. The front part of the open space was a seating area with cushy leather chairs, two sofas, a thick rug, blankets, and an open fire. Which was thankfully not running. The AC was, however.

The back of the room had what I needed. It was easy to see they’d had changes made to accommodate KC’s needs. The wooden boards built around the box-shaped bathroom were newer. I could tell by how they were lighter than the rest of the cabin’s interior. And next to the bathroom was a kitchen nook. How come they didn’t live here? It was super cozy.

“Holy crap, is this an elevator?” I pointed to the platform next to an actual stepladder leading to the loft.

“A version of one.” Lucian smiled. “I had it custom made when KC joined us.”

That was so cool. It was just a metal slab, big enough to stand on, and it was attached to the ladder and some framework that, I assumed, made it go up and down. And yeah, since Daddy could stand up for shorter periods of time, this was enough for him. He didn’t need to bring the wheelchair upstairs.
