He grunts, grins, fucks me harder, shoves me to the bed.

I work my hips, rocking back and forth, moving in fast circles. I’m panting, gasping, moaning. I need it, so fucking bad.

I come hard on his big cock. He presses a finger up my ass as I come, and it only makes the orgasm double with intensity.

He groans, and I feel him spurt deep inside not ten seconds after I finish. He fills me, fucks me raw, comes until his groans turn into soft pants and he collapses on the bed beside me.

I look into his eyes.

“Please, Daddy,” I whisper. “Let’s make it real.”

He grins. Kisses me. I kiss him back, not caring about anything else in the world.

“Well, look at you,” I say to her, “you look twenty years younger.”

Dot rolls her eyes. “That’s your standard line, isn’t it, doc?”

“Pretty much.” I grin and glance over at Ruby.

“She really does look a lot better,” Ruby says.

“I look fabulous,” Dot adds.

“You’re going to be on medication for a while, but I think you can handle it. You’ve tolerated it really well so far.”

“Seizure aside,” Dot says, grinning at me.

I shrug. “That was a different medication. You’re on something new.”

“There’s more than one drug that treats my condition?” she asks.

I grin sheepishly. “Not exactly. You’re on something that’s technically not approved yet.”

She blinks. “Really?”

“You’re part of a trial, don’t worry,” I add quickly.

“You didn’t tell us that,” Ruby says with a sigh.

“I didn’t? Sorry.” I grin at the two of them.

Dot sighs, shaking her head. “If I didn’t feel so good, I’d be annoyed, you know that?”

“I’m sure you would be.”

“But the truth is, I do feel twenty years younger.”

“Good. You’ve got another twenty years, I bet.”

“Oh, I’m sure I do,” Dot says, laughing.

Ruby grins at me and I wink at her. Dot notices and her smile gets bigger.

“So…” she says slowly. “We can maybe talk about you two now, right? Since you’re no longer my doctor.”

I try not to wince. Ruby coughs, looks embarrassed. “Grandmom,” she says.

“What? He can’t know you told me?”

“It’s okay,” I say, laughing. “You’re right, Dot, it doesn’t have to be a secret anymore.”

“Good. So I can come right out and ask you, you’re going to take care of my granddaughter, right? Not going to hurt her?”

“No, ma’am,” I say softly. “I’m too old for games.”

“Good man,” she says, nodding. “I know a lot of people might frown on the age difference, but I know that doesn’t need to matter.”

“I appreciate that,” I say.

“Grandmom,” Ruby says again, looking like she wants to die. “You don’t have to do this.”

Dot looks at her granddaughter. “Damn right I do,” she says fiercely. “You don’t have anyone else that’ll do it for you. You’ve been looking after me all this time, now I need to look after you.”

The two women stare at each other. Ruby looks mortified and Dot looks almost angry.

I step toward the two of them and clear my throat. “Dot, please. What’s happening between Ruby and I isn’t just some passing fad. It’s very much real.”

Dot looks at me and nods. “I believe you, doctor. Just don’t hurt her.”

“I won’t.”

Ruby stands. “Okay. That’s enough.” She comes around the bed toward me. “We can be done now, right?”

“I’m content,” Dot says, grinning. “Go ahead and give him a kiss before he has to leave.”

Ruby hesitates, but I pull her toward me. “You heard the lady,” I say, grinning. I kiss Ruby on the lips, a little dramatic and overdrawn, but Dot seems to love it. The old woman howls with laughter.

I let Ruby go and she hits my chest, grinning.

“I’ll see you ladies later,” I say, kissing Ruby one more time. I leave the room, a smile on my face.

I haven’t had this sort of relationship in a long time. It feels good to have a fucking crush on someone again.

I feel like I’m walking on air. I’m going to discharge Dot, and after that, my relationship with Ruby isn’t an issue. I can scale back my hours here at the hospital and be with her as much as I want.

The future is fucking bright.

“Aiden.”

I stop in my tracks, look over my shoulder.

Liza’s standing there.

And she looks pissed.

“A word?”

I hesitate. She rarely uses my first name. It’s like my fucking mother using my middle name.

“What do you want?” I say to her, my good mood slipping away.

She gestures for me to follow. I hesitate but go after her. I can’t exactly ignore the director of medicine in front of six fucking nurses, as much as I’d love to.

She pulls me into a side room and shuts the door. “I saw what you did,” she says softly once she rounds on me.

I hesitate, frowning. “What are you talking about?”

“I saw you kissing her.”

I take a sharp breath. “Liza—”

“You idiot,” she says, shaking her head. “You goddamn idiot. She’s half your age and you’re really with her.”
