“I work fast.”

He chuckled and separated from me, lifting his bag and placing it on the massage table. “Let me give you this first.” He opened the bag, an Apple logo on the front. He took out a… laptop? What the fuck?

“I know your laptop right now is struggling. Every time you turn it on, the fan sounds like it belongs on an airplane engine and not on your lap. So, I got you a replacement.”

He nudged the box forward. I blinked. Blinked again. The laptop was still there, wrapped up in shiny shrink wrap, the clean white box showing an image of the brand-new computer I could never have afforded.

“That way, you can finally finish that series, and I can find out what happens to Xavier and Brandon.”

My head turned to him as if it had been placed on a swivel. “You’re reading my books?”

“I, uh, yeah… why? Should I not be?”

More shock slowly filtered through me. “I’m just… I always get self-conscious with people I care about reading my work. I didn’t even know you liked reading.”

“I didn’t,” he admitted, those blue orbs shimmering like crystal balls. I half expected to see my future reflected back at me.

Maybe it already was.

“I started reading one of your books on my flight here because I was curious, and I got hooked. I blew through the other three books. I hadn’t read that way in years. Not since I was a kid. You’ve got a really powerful voice, Trist. Use it.”

I could hardly believe what I was hearing. The man I’d fallen for had just given me one of the best compliments any author could ever hear.

He fell back in love with reading. Because of me.

I wrapped my hands around his neck and pulled him in for another kiss, this one about fifty degrees hotter than the last. My tongue slipped into his mouth, dancing with his, my hands moving down his back. “How are you so fucking special,” I asked. “And how did I manage to get you into my life?”

“By being the target of a psychotic serial killer,” Gabe teased.

I laughed against his lips. “Oh yeah, that’s right. Almost forgot.” My smile fit perfectly against him. His fingers trailed down my back, lighting up my skin with tendrils of flame everywhere he touched.

“Thank you, Gabe. Seriously. Fuck, I don’t think I can ever thank you enough.”

I hadn’t realized I’d started to get teary-eyed until Gabe brushed away a streak of wetness from my cheek. He then kissed the same spot, kissing his way back to my lips.

“You don’t have to. Being here with me is all I need.”

I managed to separate myself from our kisses, my shorts already beginning to bulge. “I’m going to try with this massage, at least. Go ahead, get undressed. I’ll turn around,” I said, feigning some modesty, and moved my new laptop to a safe spot on the coffee table.

Gabriel chuckled. Then came the zip of his shorts, the woosh of them falling to the floor, the rustle of his shirt joining the pile. Crackling from the fireplace. The table creaking as Gabriel climbed onto it, his low and gentle sigh as he lay down.

I turned, seeing a sight that should have been preserved in the National fucking Archives.

Gabriel was made up of corded muscles and smooth curves. The rise of his ass was hypnotizing, two perfectly tanned globes of fucking heaven. Like a perfect peach, round and firm and slightly fuzzy. Made my mouth water. And if that wasn’t enough, his massive thighs made me think there’d be no better way to die than by getting crushed between them. He had to adjust himself so that his thick dick pointed backward, his sac resting on it, soft and inviting me to run my tongue along it.

I had to resist, already feeling myself getting hard at the sight. I palmed my growing bulge as I connected a peaceful-sounding mix of songs to the speakers. Jingles and chimes and gentle beats filled the space.

“Comfortable?” I asked, running a hand across his firm back, applying gentle pressure around his neck.

“Very,” he said, groaning as I already started working out a knot.

“Good. Just relax.” I went for the scented oils first, spreading some lavender and rose on my hands. I then held them up under the table by his nose. “Take a deep breath in. That’s it.” I watched his back swell in the dim light, then watched as his body melted downward on the exhale.

“One more time.”

Again, his back rose and fell. The top of his head was right up against my growing dick. I wasn’t shy about it, letting it rub against him as I moved my hands up to his shoulders, leaning forward so that I could knead out his muscles. He released another moan, my bulging shorts resting on his head. He was tense, which wasn’t entirely a surprise. Gabriel had a high-stress job, and he apparently kept all that stress in his upper body.
