He collapsed, without even an ounce of will to remain up, and Dex followed, landing on top of him like a sack of rubber bones. He put his cheek between Hammer’s shoulder blades and panted, resting his arm around Hammer’s waist, as if he were dealing with an overgrown teddy bear, not the enforcer of the Demon Brethren MC.

And yet Hammer was still the same sledgehammer-wielding monster, feeling no less himself than before he’d let Dex fuck him raw. Maybe it was because Hammer found understanding social norms difficult that he had a hard time letting go of the ones he'd carved into his mind. He might not be coming out to his club any time soon, but he would not deny himself pleasures behind closed doors, just because of someone else’s ideas of what a man like him should like.

He grabbed Dex’s forearm and exhaled, enjoying the lazy feeling in his muscles as they lay together, tied with sweat and cum. “I’m gonna destroy your ass for cornering me like this.”

Dex laughed and licked the sweat off Hammer’s skin. “What? I did nothing wrong. Just followed my instincts. But my ass is yours anyway, don’t worry about that.” His softening cock slid out of Hammer, leaving him a bit numb, hot and wet.

It was nice in its own strange way, at least for as long as Hammer didn’t have to do anything involving movement. But Dex’s comment made him smirk. All his life he’d complained about not being able to just go with the flow in sex in terms of how rough he got or what activities were involved. Now he’d had that equation turned on him, and his opinion remained unchanged. Dex’s spontaneity and willingness to go with the flow matched his own.

He looked over his shoulder and smirked. “It’s all your fault. I’m so damn gay now.”

Hammer often missed cues in people’s behavior or found it hard to read subtle emotion, but the way light died a little in Dex’s eyes sent all his senses on high alert. The fact that it took Dex so long to speak didn’t bode well either.

“And that’s a bad thing?” Dex finally asked.

Hammer stared at him, dumbfounded. Though his own indifference to that issue shocked him even more. “No.”

The smile trickling back to Dex’s features melted Hammer’s heart a little, as did the tender kiss to his shoulder. “I can’t wait to kill Ryker with you.”

Chapter 24 – Dex

“Why didn’t you warn me we’ll be trudging through snow?” Dex complained but kept his gaze on Hammer’s backside.

There had never been a more perfect man alive, and topping him had sealed that hypothesis as truth. For him, Dex would gladly brave the snow and whatever else awaited them today. He wasn’t sure what had caused Hammer’s change of heart when it came to bottoming and giving head, but he was hardly complaining. He’d learned the hard way that prodding at guys who were only discovering their sexuality could lead to them closing up, and Dex wanted those muscular thighs to remain very open.

They had to leave the motorcycle farther away, to avoid the risk of their engine being overheard, but they would have struggled through the sludge on the road just as much as they did on foot among the sparse trees. The more Dex thought about it, the more sense it made to him that the cabin was up a mountain. After all, it was the hideout of a dastardly villain.

Hammer insisted they wore white, and since the sole white garment Goodwill had in his size was a flamboyant hooded cloak, he trudged through the deep snow like a duke inspecting his lands. The picture would have only been more perfect if he carried a fancy cane instead of the sledgehammer he used in lieu of a staff.

Hammer looked back, his dark hair fluffy against cold-reddened skin. “Did you expect we’d accost him in the middle of a suburb?”

“I just didn’t think it would be this cold. If I freeze my dick off, you’ll be sorry.” Dex took a few quick steps to catch up with Hammer, who struggled in the snow far less. The crisp air was so fresh the walk almost felt like a hike, but that didn’t mean the frost was eating up his toes any less aggressively. He was thankful for the puffy white jacket purchased to offer camouflage in this snowy weather, even though the large hood and buttons covered in diamantes indicated it was a women’s garment. Warmth didn't know gender.

Wind blew when they passed through a clearing, and Hammer’s open coat flapped about loudly, as if he were an anime villain on the way to wreak havoc. His gaze drifted to Dex’s crotch. “I think it’s stronger and more resilient than you let on,” Hammer said with a half-smile as they passed a view of the nearby valley and stepped into a narrow tunnel of trees, which had been left untouched since the latest snowfall.
