The wolves and him are outgunned and the dragons are taking control. The blue one stomps on a wolf and he whimpers as the big foot smashes his body. The big dragons are limited in the small space, which works as an advantage for us. If this brawl was going on outside where the dragons could fly around, then it would have been over by now.

I glance at the exit behind me, but I can’t leave. My mate is fighting for us and I have to help him. If he goes, then I want to go out with him. Together. Fighting as the badass couple we are.

I push down the terror flowing through me and run over to the hose that he connected to the fire hydrant before. It’s full of water and ready to go.

“Mrpgh,” I grunt as I struggle to pick it up. It weighs a fucking ton.

I point the nozzle at the red dragon who’s fighting with two wolves and pull back the lever. It explodes out of my hands, knocking me to my ass as it flies around like an out of control missile. It slams into the ribs of one of the wolves, sending him flying across the station.

Oops! That’s not what I had in mind.

It keeps going, flying through the air and knocks the blue dragon in the face, stunning him as he battles with Westin’s grizzly.

Westin takes advantage of his dazed opponent and his bear runs to the hose. He leaps up, phases mid-air, and catches it with a human hand.

I watch in awe as my man grabs the spraying hose, turns and shoves it down the blue dragon’s throat.

The four injured wolves attack the red dragon as one, fighting as a pack and keeping him away from Westin and Reginald.

My eyes are locked on my mate’s naked muscles as they flex and tighten with every movement. His arm is wrapped around the thrashing dragon’s neck as he holds the surging hose down his throat, drowning him.

His blue wings flap up and he thrashes around, but my man doesn’t let up. I know he’s fighting to protect me. He’s not going to lose.

Finally, Reginald’s blue dragon slumps down and his fiery green eyes dull to a lifeless white.

The red dragon chirps out a deadly roar when he sees his brother lying dead on the floor. The blue stomach is bloated and swollen from all of the surging water.

With a vicious hiss, the red dragon shakes the wolves off, sending them flying in all directions. The four wolves regroup beside Westin as he grabs an ax off the truck.

He raises it over his head and launches it at the dragon’s belly. It summersaults through the air and bounces off the red scales without making a scratch.

The terrifying dragon leans up on his two back legs, towering over them, and opens its massive jaws.

I can feel the flames in the back of his throat from here. They won’t survive this onslaught. They’re standing right in front of him.

The dragon sucks in a breath and lowers his head to engulf them in flames.

A red crash explodes through the glass wall and a firetruck slams into the red dragon right as the flames emerge from his mouth. The fire soars over the head of my man and the wolves as the red dragon gets thrown across the room.

It’s Blake and the rest of the boys. Blake, Ethan, Carter, and Rylan rush out of the firetruck and explode into their bears as they rush toward the wounded dragon.

He struggles to get up and then jumps into the air as the angry bears arrive. I watch with my chest aching as he flies up through the hole in the ceiling and makes a getaway. He looks hurt and is wincing with every flap of his wings.

He won’t be back for a while, but something tells me he’ll be back one day…

Lincoln, Hunter, Parker, and Emmett stay and help clean up the mess. There’s broken glass, water, and destroyed equipment everywhere.

My eyes are constantly finding Westin and I watch as he makes up with the wolves.

“Sorry about your wrist,” he says to Lincoln. “It was the first time I saw my mate and she got me a little out of my mind.”

They shake hands and it seems like the animosity is gone.

“I saw your mark on her neck,” he says as Westin’s mark starts tingling under my ear. “If I had known she was yours, I would never have looked at her like that.”

Westin’s jaw is tight, but he nods. I can tell that he’s still pissed that he looked at me, but he’s letting it go. These four guys have more than made up for it.

“So, you’re Westin’s mate,” Rylan says as he comes over to say hi. I’m cleaning up all the chocolate bars and chips that fell out of the vending machine.
