“What?” he whimpered. “Why are you talking so much?”

Ryder’s tongue moved to the other nipple. “We’re talking about you practicing safe sex, Remi. It’s very important.” His teeth snagged the hardened pebble and Remi yelped. “We were also discussing the fact that you appear concerned that I might not be able to keep you…satisfied. Focus, Remington.” Ryder thrust his hips against Remi, forcing his legs even further apart, and connecting with all the sensitive spots.

He grabbed both of Remi’s wrists and pinned them to the mattress. His body, larger and stronger, held the rest of him still, even as he squirmed with arousal. “First of all, I don’t share. You’re mine now. Secondly, it pisses me off to think you’ve not been taking care of yourself, that you haven’t been safe. I suspect you’ve earned yourself a spanking.” His expression sobered when he added, “I’m not kidding, Remi. You’re a smart man; you know to be safe.”

“I, uh, haven’t had sex in a while, Ry. That’s why there’s not any condoms,” Remi whispered. “Can we just drop it and go back to having fun? It’s no big deal.”

A strange expression passed across Ryder’s face as he loomed over Remi. “How long?”

Remi could feel Ryder’s heart thumping against his chest, the rhythm picking up as they talked. He didn’t want to admit it, didn’t want Ryder to know that something that had obviously meant so little to him had altered Remi’s world dramatically. “A while,” he snapped.

If he had any control over his own body, he’d shove Ryder away from him. There was no control, though; he knew his cock would kill him if he did anything to fuck this opportunity up. It was odd how one portion of his body seemed to have all the control.

Should he love how it felt for Ryder to have him pinned to the mattress?

When he realized Ryder wasn’t giving up on getting him to answer, he muttered, “I haven’t had sex since we were together. End of story. Nothing else to say about it. Keep moving. There’s nothing to see. Again, it’s no big deal.”

“What? You’re kidding. Why? Damn, was I that bad? I turned you against sex?”

Not exactly the reaction Remi had expected. “No! Hell, no!” He couldn’t believe Ryder could even entertain such a ridiculous thought. “It…it was too good.” His eyes locked with the stormy gray of Ryder’s. “Like you said, Ry. I don’t share. I also don’t engage in casual sex. With you, though, if that’s all you’re willing to give me, then I’ll take it. Nobody else, though. Only you. To you, I know it was just a hookup that night. To me, it was so much more. It’s just how I am.” He shoved at Ryder’s chest. “Just forget it. I’m not in the mood anymore.” He needed to put some distance between them before the I love you words tumbled out of his mouth. If he did that, he knew he scare Ryder off for good.

Of course, Ryder didn’t budge. “Your cock feels like it’s still in the mood.” Using just one of his hands to hold Remi’s wrists immobile, Ryder reached down between them to stroke the hardened flesh. “Do you want me to stop, Remi? All you have to do is say the word, and we stop.”

“You know I don’t want you to stop,” Remi hissed. “You’re all I’ve ever wanted. You aren’t playing fair.”

“I’m not playing,” Ryder answered back. “I’m sorry, Remi. I know I did you wrong. I…I wasn’t aware how badly I’d hurt you. I thought doing what I could to keep us apart was the best thing for both of us. I was wrong.” His hand kept working up and down the length of Remi’s cock as he talked. “I wasn’t as strong as you were; I slept with other man to try and forget how perfect our night together was. No matter how hard I tried, though, there was no erasing how deeply you’d touched me. It scared me, Remi; it scared the shit out of me. Every time I came over here, came near you, it took every ounce of my strength to not throw you over my shoulder and haul you off to bed.”

“You aren’t going to make fun of me?” Remi asked in disbelief.

All hand motion stopped, and Ryder looked down at him. “Make fun of you? Why would I make fun of you? If I didn’t feel so damn selfish and stupid, I’d think it was totally hot that you didn’t want anybody except me.” A smile touched the corners of Ryder’s lips. “Hell, I can’t lie. No matter how selfish and stupid I was, I still think it’s hot. Nobody else?”

“Nobody.”

“Just the toys?”

“Don’t go there,” Remi warned. “It’s embarrassing enough that you saw them. We’ll never speak of it again. Agreed?”
