Just as she was sure she was about to come again, Phoebe heard the shop keeper say,

“Very good. I have all the data I need now. You may stop mapping her inner cleft.”

Reluctantly, she thought, Sirex withdrew his hand.

“All right,” he said. “How long will it take to get the harness?”

“Oh, not long—not long at all. In fact, I have something in stock that might fit your woman now. Come with me to the front of the shop and I’ll show you.”

“In a moment,” Sirex told him. “I have to help Phoebe get dressed first.”

“Very well. Come around when you’re ready—I’ll get out the harness,” the shop keeper told them.

Then he went around to the front of the shop, leaving them alone again.

PHOEBE

Phoebe didn’t know how to feel. She was still leaning back against Sirex, panting for breath. On one hand he had just given her one of the best orgasms of her life. On the other hand, he was her mentor and he’d only done it because they were on a mission together—right?

Maybe not. Maybe it meant something to him—the way it meant something to me.

She wanted to look at him to see what he was thinking, but she was too ashamed to meet his eyes.

“Are you well?” he rumbled at last. “Can you walk?”

“I…I think so.” Still weak in the knees, Phoebe made an effort to straighten up and stand on her own two feet. She felt light-headed from the intense orgasm and her inner thighs were now absolutely drenched with her juices.

“Be careful.” Sirex was looking at her anxiously. “You look unsteady.”

“I feel unsteady,” Phoebe admitted. “That was…not anything like what I was expecting when Commander Sylvan sent us on this mission.”

“I know,” he said soberly. “I’m sorry—I had no idea I would be required to touch you so intimately.”

“No, don’t apologize,” Phoebe said quickly. “You were just…doing what you had to do, that’s all.”

“Yes, but I violated your physical boundaries,” he pointed out. “Something no teacher should do with their student.”

“You’re not my teacher anymore,” Phoebe reminded him. “We’re both agents—remember?”

“I suppose.” He nodded reluctantly. “But I’m still not sure we should continue with this mission. We might end up doing something we’ll both regret.”

“We can’t stop now!” Phoebe protested. “We haven’t even gotten to the palace yet!” She put a hand on his arm and looked up into his eyes. “Listen to me, Sir—I want to complete this mission, no matter what it takes.”

“You say that now, but you don’t know what you might be subjected to once we reach the Emperor’s palace,” he objected, frowning.

“I don’t care—I mean it!” Phoebe said fiercely. “I don’t care how, er, intimately you have to touch me to prove that you ‘own’ me. Even if you have to punish me and dominate me, I don’t care—in fact, I want you to.”

The words came pouring out of her mouth before she could call them back. When she saw his burning red eyes narrow, she wondered if she had gone too far.

“You say those words, but I don’t think you know what they really mean.” His voice was a soft, menacing growl. “Don’t ask me to dominate you and punish you unless you really mean it, Phoebe.”

Phoebe felt her breath catch in her throat, but she wasn’t going to back down now.

“I mean it,” she said, lifting her chin. “And you don’t have to ask me about it, either. From now on, we have to start acting more like Master and Sex Slave and less like two equal coworkers.”

Sirex nodded.

“True. I believe the owner of this shop is already suspicious. If he wasn’t so eager to take our credit, he’d be asking more questions.”

“Exactly—so we can’t risk making anyone else suspicious—especially at the palace,” Phoebe said. “So from now on, I want you to treat me like you really do own me—all of me,” she added, lifting her chin. “Don’t ask questions or permission when you have to touch me—just do it.”

“Very well.” He frowned. “But we might be treading on treacherous territory here.”

“If you’re talking about your Scourge half, I’m not afraid of you,” Phoebe told him.

A brooding look came over his face.

“Maybe you should be. Offering yourself to me with no limitations is dangerous—even reckless.”

“I’m not afraid,” Phoebe repeated.

Sirex nodded.

“If that’s really how you feel…”

“It is,” she insisted.” Impulsively, she knelt at his feet. Looking up, she met his eyes. “Dominate me, Master,” she said. “Use me however you want to—I’m yours.”

A hungry light flashed in his red-on-black eyes.

“Gods!” The word was a low groan. Reaching down, he pulled her to her feet and stared intently into her eyes. “Don’t talk that way, Phoebe—you don’t know what it does to me!”

Actually, Phoebe knew exactly what her words did to him—or she hoped she did, anyway. But she didn’t want him to be so upset that he refused her offer.
