Whatever is happening, they’re keeping it under wraps.

I’m sitting in my room one afternoon just staring out the window when the door opens. Assuming it’ll be Jagger, because it always is, I’m surprised when I see Snake staring at me, his evil eyes formed into tiny slits. He’s a horrible man, it’s written all over him. Why Jagger would ever trust him is beyond me. Jagger might not be the one to hurt me, but oh, I can almost guarantee this son-of-a-bitch will.

“Get up,” he orders, taking a step closer.

I shuffle back into the windowsill. He gives me the damned creeps.

“Excuse me?”

He steps closer, and I cross my arms, as if that’ll protect me from anything. “Get up. We’re fuckin’ hungry, and you’re going to go out there and cook for us.”

“Where’s Jagger?”

“Fuck Jagger, he’ll be back soon.”

My heart skips a beat, and my chest tightens. At least with Jagger here, the other men don’t touch me, hell, I don’t even see them. Only twice in the two weeks has he left me alone, but never with them. He just leaves me locked up and goes out for a day or I don’t see him until the evening because he’s busy. Either way, it’s always him that comes in and never them.

“Get up and get out there, or I’ll take my belt off and wrap it around that pretty ass. I’m sure you’d enjoy that, wouldn’t you, princess?”

Is he high?

God. He looks high.

He looks like he’s on something because the glazed look in his eyes terrifies me.

“In fact,” he goes on, “take your shirt and pants off.”

“What?” I say, my voice shaky as I stand, moving along the wall in an attempt to get away from him.

He steps forward quickly and grips my shoulder, his fingers digging firmly into my skin. I gasp and jerk, but it’s no use, he’s too strong. He pulls me closer, his hot breath against my face as he hisses, “Off. Now. Or I’ll make you go naked.”

“No,” I hiss, trying to jerk my shoulder from his grips. “You sick fuck.”

He only tightens his fingers.

“What did you say?”

“I said no, you fucking bastard.”

Something flares in his eyes, and without thought, he grips his belt, and, keeping one hand curled around me, he undoes it and yanks it off. I try to scurry away but he pins me by the throat and shoves me face first onto the bed. He’s wild and untamed, a monster. A pure, raw monster. I scream and thrash, but it’s no use. Snake brings the belt down over my skin, and the first slap has me screaming in agony. He does it again, and then again, over and over until my screams turn to strangled sobs and my skin goes numb.

“You think I’m going to go easy on you?” Snake roars. “You do as you’re fuckin’ told around here, bitch. He might go soft on you, but I sure as hell won’t.”

“What the fuck!”

An angry voice can be heard behind me, and the sound of it has Snake releasing me. I keep my face pressed into the pillow, my sobs tearing through the room as a pain unlike anything I’ve ever felt travels through my body. My skin feels as though it’s on fire, and my heart is racing so hard I’m scared it might just stop.

“Get the fuck out, Snake. Now.”

The voice is familiar, Angel maybe. I’m not so sure.

Snake leans down close to my trembling body and hisses, “Pull your fuckin’ shirt down and if you tell him about those marks, I’ll be back, and next time, I won’t stop.”

“Get out,” Angel growls, and the sounds of shuffling can be heard as he leaves the room.

I don’t move. I’m too scared to move. The pain is too much.

I hear the two men leave, murmuring for me to come out when I’m ready. I glance at them as they walk out the door. Angel and Ace, maybe. I don’t know. My vision is blurred and the pain in my back is out of this world. God damn them, god damn them all to hell. I can’t do this anymore. I can’t be here. This is hell, and I’m not going to spend another second living in it.

I’ll go out and make his dinner.

And then I’ll slit his damned throat.

I lie on the bed until the tears dry up and my body stops trembling, only then do I push up and go into the bathroom, lifting my shirt to glance at the horrific welts on my skin. I feel physically sick as I stare at them, the pain almost too much to bear. Little spots of blood have risen to the surface. The man unleashed on me, lost it like a god damned psycho.

I pull my shirt down and, with a determination I’m not certain I’ve ever had in my life, I walk out of the room and into the kitchen. I pass the men sitting in the living area and avoid the deadly eyes of the man who is so dangerous he scares me. I take out some ingredients and begin chopping, the pain so intense I can feel my head spinning as I do what that piece of devil shit asked.
