“Let’s eat.”

He carried it to the dining room, took a seat at the head of the table, and put Aria’s chair beside him. Aria sat down. She had already removed the towel from her long blonde hair, which looked slightly damp.

He had to wonder if she was completely naked underneath her bathrobe, or if she was dressed in pajamas or even a negligee. His cock thickened at the thought of her being naked, within touching distance. Those full tits, her juicy ass. Since he had stopped living up to the role he played, he found he enjoyed being himself far more. And Aria’s curves were making him want to explore, so fucking much.

He wanted to touch her.

To love her.

To fuck her.

To be with her.

To just have her.

But he also knew Aria needed time. She wasn’t used to the kind of attention he wanted to give her. He could be patient, to a point, but he didn’t know how long he would be able to wait before he made his move.

Chapter Seven

Aria stroked the dog’s neck. She couldn’t believe anyone could be so cruel as to steal these two gorgeous dogs, only to tie them up and abandon them near the fucking park, in the woodland. That just pissed her off.

If it hadn’t been for Jase going for his run, he wouldn’t have seen them. He found them and brought them straight to the shelter. Phil and Andy had already done the checks on them. They were hungry, a little dehydrated, but other than that, they were healthy.

Aria had recognized them instantly as two of the dogs in the care of Chaos and Carnage MC. They had taken over running the main animal shelter. She was aware the one Grant dealt with was like an offshoot of the main shelter.

Andy had called Bull and she had called Grant, just in case. She knew how quickly the shelters filled up. If there was no room at one, there might be room at another.

“So how did your date go?” Andy asked.

She chuckled. “It was fine.” There was no need to go into specifics, like the fact he’d arrived late, and instead of taking her out, he had cooked for her. At the end of their night, she had seen him to the front door, and she had really wanted him to kiss her. Instead, Grant had grazed his lips against her cheek. That was it. No mind-blowing kiss, no shocking revelation. Nothing.

So, she had gone to bed and thought of him constantly. She hadn’t gotten much sleep, and today she was exhausted and looked forward to seeing Grant. She knew how much he loved dogs, not that she could blame him.

Wanda was so gorgeous and adorable. She had stayed with them in the kitchen, moved to the dining room, and found a comfy spot. Before Grant left, they stayed in the sitting room and talked for nearly an hour, while Wanda sat down on her sofa between them. Aria didn’t mind. In fact, she loved the company. She pressed kisses to the dog’s head and got a nice long tongue lick, making her giggle.

At the sound of a motorbike, she got to her feet and moved to the main window. She watched as Bull, complete with his leather cut, as well as a couple of other bikers she wasn’t quite familiar with, parked outside. She spotted the truck Grant often used pull up seconds later.

He no longer wore his patch and she couldn’t help but wonder why. She had meant what she said to him last night, about not caring if her parents would like him or not. Her mother would have a fit regardless. No matter who she dated, her mother would find some reason to bring up her weight.

She watched as Grant looked toward his brother. She couldn’t tell if they were talking. Bull shook his head and then moved toward the practice.

Aria went back to her seat as Andy came out of one of the rooms.

“Mr. Reynolds,” Andy said.

Bull entered first.

“You called me about two dogs.”

Aria got to her feet, holding both of their leads. Grant got down on one knee and she let go as both dogs rushed toward him.

“Where have you two boys been, huh? Where have you been?” Grant asked, talking in a rather husky voice.

She couldn’t help but smile as he stroked the dogs.

“Are you good boys?”

“What do I need to know?” Bull asked.

They didn’t have any clients at present. It had been a slow couple of hours for the couple.

Andy went into the details of where the dogs were found. She refused to divulge who found them, but simply referred to him as a concerned citizen.

Aria moved toward Grant and crouched down. “Do you know them?” she asked.

“Yeah, a little bit. These boys were rescues, but they had already been in the thick of it. They’re going to need someone who … doesn’t mind them together as a team.”
