“I’m not leaving you, Little Blossom.”

Urgh. That term of endearment kept pushing her closer to letting her Little free.

No. Nope.

Not happening.

There was only one man that she had ever been able to let her Little side out with.

And he was the opposite of Reuben. Matt was a giant teddy bear.

Sweet and kind.

He’d always supported her. He would never have told her what to do. Or have demanded that she submit to him.

Matt would be horrified by Reuben’s actions.

Safe. Sane. Consensual.

Except . . . she had agreed to this.

And there was no denying her attraction to him.

Plus, she’d never felt more safe in her life than she did in his arms.

Which only left sane.

And Lord knew that neither of them were that.

Reuben stood and took off his jacket before he started to undo his shirt buttons.

What was going on?

She rarely saw him without his suit jacket, and now he was stripping off?

As she stared up at him, Faith realized that she still had her thumb in her mouth. Mortification filled her, and she forced herself to pull her thumb free.

“Put that back in,” he told her as he folded up his shirt and set it aside on the armchair.

But she could barely understand what he was saying, her attention totally stolen by the bare chest in front of her.

Wow.

The man was ripped. How did someone who sat behind a desk get to look like that?

He had a firm chest and muscular abs, with a light smattering of hair on his torso.

Could anyone say yum?

Not her, because she was speechless right now.

Reuben smirked down at her. Darn man knew exactly how he affected her.

“Like what you see, baby?” he drawled.

Like? Oh no, she didn’t just like what she saw.

She was hungry for more. Needed more.

You cannot tell him that.

“Me . . . see . . . yummy.”

He stared down at her intently, but she thought she saw a hint of amusement in his gaze. “Good to know.”

Sitting next to her, he drew her onto his lap.

“What are you doing?” she squealed.

“Giving you skin.”

“This . . . I . . . ” Her tongue froze as she took in the expanse of warm, smooth skin that was right next to her face.

You could bury yourself in his chest.

“I know that some Littles like feeling skin. Some like being swaddled. Or sucking their thumb. Or being held like this.” He wrapped his arms around her.

Tight.

So. Safe.

It was like a drug, making her instantly relax. Her mind went fuzzy but in a good way.

As though all the daily worries and concerns were draining out of her.

It felt like she was twenty pounds lighter.

Although there he went again with the Little stuff.

How the heck did he know? How had he figured it out?

And how come Matt had never taken the time to learn what her Little liked?

That wasn’t fair. Matt had been everything she wanted. She’d been the problem.

“You’re still thinking. Stop it.”

“Just because you give a command doesn’t mean it will happen,” she told him.

God, she even sounded drugged.

“That’s not my experience.”

Sheesh.

“Thumb back in your mouth. Relax. There’s no good reason for you to be thinking.”

She rolled her eyes.

But she made certain to do it when he couldn’t see her.

Gathering up her courage, she blurted out the question on her mind. “Why do you think I’m a Little?”

He huffed out a breath. “I’m not an idiot. And I have a lot of experience with Littles. You scream Little. I nearly fired you because of it.”

“You can’t fire me for being a Little. That’s discrimination.”

“Who are you going to complain to?”

Well. He had her there.

“It’s mean to fire someone when you don’t mean it.”

“Is it? I thought it would be meaner to fire someone and mean it.”

Huh. Drat.

He had her there.

“And I rarely do something that I don’t mean to do. Put your thumb back in your mouth and stop talking.”

Rude.

“Before I find you something else to suck on.”

Faith grew tense. Did he mean . . . was he saying . . . she leaned back to gape up at him.

“My, my, your mind is in the gutter, isn’t it? I didn’t mean that, Little Blossom.”

He hadn’t? Then what had he meant?

He held up a finger. Then, to her shock, he placed it in her mouth.

“Suck,” he murmured.

Oh no. This was bad.

So very, very bad.

His gaze grew intense, darkening, and she knew she wouldn’t be able to fight him any longer.

“Suck, baby.”

Fudge knuckles. There it was. Baby. It was her kryptonite.

Being called baby by a strong, gorgeous, sexy man . . . yep. She was putty in his hands.

Faith felt herself melt. She sucked on his finger and stared up at him. The thunder in the distance barely registered.

Which was so weird. She’d never felt this . . . relaxed during a thunderstorm.

Well, sort of relaxed.

“Good girl. That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
