“She was an evil bitch,” Brody said.

“Don’t count him out. He might not have known what she did, but he knew who she was,” the Fox said grimly.

She stared up at him. “Are you upset that you couldn’t stay and finish things?” Maybe she should feel worse about what was going to happen. But honestly, she was numb.

Likely in shock.

“What? No. I . . . I know my acquaintance will take care of everything.”

“I didn’t think you trusted anyone else. I thought you worked on your own,” Brody said.

“Mostly, I do.”

She got the feeling he wasn’t going to tell them anything about this mysterious man. Probably because it was safer for them not to know.

“I . . . do you feel differently about me now that you’ve seen me at work?” he asked.

“What? No! Why would we? You were protecting us!” she said.

“I thought you might be disgusted, that you might want to leave. It’s one thing to know what I do, what I’ve done in the past, but to see it . . .”

Turning, she straddled him, cupping his face. “Never. There is nothing you could do that would ever make me see you as anything other than the man I love.”

Brody kneeled beside her. “Ditto what she said.”

The Fox placed a hand on each of their cheeks, relief filling his face.

“Silly Daddy. You don’t have to worry about us ever leaving you,” she told him.

“Not that you’d be allowed to,” he growled. Then a grin crossed his face. “And why would you want to leave me? I’m awesome.”

“You sure are,” Brody said, kissing him lightly.

The look they shared was so sweet, it made her heart melt.

“And before I forget, baby girl.” He drew her locket out of his pocket.

She gasped. “I thought you threw it in the water.”

“Of course not! I just found the tracker and threw it out.” He placed it over her head. “Mine. My girl.”

“Always, Daddy. Forever and ever.”

He drew Brody to him, kissing him. “My Pup.”

“My Papa. I love you.”

EPILOGUE

“Maybe I should just murder him.”

“You can’t.” Brody gave the Fox an exasperated look. Hmm, perhaps he didn’t redden his ass often enough.

“You’re telling me what I can’t do, Pup?” he asked silkily.

Brody didn’t look at all worried. This wouldn’t do. Not at all.

“Come here, Pup.” He crooked a finger at the other man.

The other man’s eyes widened, and he pushed his glasses back nervously. Ahh, finally he was starting to understand that he was in trouble.

“You’re busy.”

The Fox glanced down at where Autumn sat on the floor between his legs as he sat on the sofa. She was watching a cartoon on the television while he combed her hair. She had a pacifier in her mouth and Freddy Fox clasped in her hands.

Only a month had passed since she’d nearly been kidnapped and they’d learned what Laura and Brad had done. Things had been hard for Autumn. She’d had a lot of nightmares. He and Brody had done their best to help her through them. Holding her tight. Giving her reassurances. He hadn’t taken any jobs since. Instead, he’d been spending all his time with his Bunny and Pup.

She’d spent a lot of time in Little headspace, but he wasn’t complaining. He loved taking care of her in every way she needed.

“I’m never too busy for you, Pup.”

Brody flushed red, his face filled with pleasure. The thing was, it was only the truth. These two meant the world to him. He couldn’t imagine his life without either of them. His baby girl with her sweetness, her sense of humor, the way she needed him. She made him feel like he could conquer anything.

Which he could, of course.

And his baby boy. His Pup. The peacemaker. So smart and thoughtful.

“Come stand here.” He pointed at the floor next to him. They were in the living room.

Brody huffed out a breath. Yep, definitely too long since he’d had a spanking. The Fox hadn’t wanted to punish him for anything while his arm was healing.

Perhaps that had been a mistake.

“Strip,” he ordered once Brody stood in front of him.

Brody fidgeted, moving his weight from foot to foot.

The Fox raised an eyebrow. Maybe his Pup needed a punishment. Was he doing this on purpose?

“And if I say no?” Brody challenged.

Ooh. This was getting exciting. Even Autumn had turned to stare up at Brody. The Fox lifted her up onto the sofa next to him.

“That’s not your safeword, Pup. So if you’re saying ‘no’, I’m thinking what you’re really saying is that you want to go over my knee and get your butt spanked.”

“No, that’s not what I’m saying.” Brody hastily undressed.

But it was too late.

“When was the last time you were spanked, Pup?”

“I, um, I’m not sure, Sir.”

“Before the arcade?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“How is your arm? Any soreness?”

Brody eyed him warily. “No, Sir. It’s fine. Fully healed.”
