The Fox shook his head. “No.”
“Please, Daddy?” she asked. “I feel like I need this.”
He was breathing heavily. “I am going to spank both of your asses for this. You will not sit for a week. I’m going to spank both of you, then I’m going to fuck you.”
“Okay, Daddy.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Fine. This is what is going to happen.” He stepped away from Brody. “I know someone who will secure Brad and Laura for me. It will have to be at their house because they’re wearing ankle bracelets. Not that I can’t get around them, but if I want to make this look like an accident, then it will be better if it’s at the house.”
Brody walked over to her, cupping her shoulders. “Sure you’re okay with all this?”
“Yes.” She had to be.
“You will listen to every word I say,” the Fox barked.
Both of them nodded, staring at him, wide-eyed. She could feel her heart racing, making her feel ill.
“The cameras are on a loop?” he asked Brody.
Brody nodded. “Yes, Sir.”
“Good. Keep your heads down anyway. And what do you do?”
“Listen to every word you say,” they repeated.
They followed him out of the car before making their way along the side of the house and through the back door.
The Fox led them through to a bedroom. She came to a sudden stop as she saw Brad and Laura sitting on the bed. Their hands were secured to the posts using what looked to be silk scarves. And their ankles were tied together. They had scarves in their mouths as well. Both of them were staring wide-eyed toward the side of the room. Was someone there? But she couldn’t see anyone.
“Ahh, isn’t this a nice surprise,” the Fox drawled.
Brody slipped his hand into Autumn’s, watching as the Fox moved forward. He ripped away Brad’s gag.
“Who are you? What are you doing here? You’ve chosen the wrong people to mess with! I’m going to have you sent to jail for this!”
“I’m shaking in my boots,” the Fox crooned. “Why am I here? Who am I? I’m your worst fucking nightmare. I’m the man who had you arrested. I’m the man who has been making your life hell. I’m the man who’s going to kill you.”
“What? Why? What’s going on?” Brad looked terrified.
Laura was making muffled noises behind her gag, trying to move. What was the Fox going to do to her? He couldn’t let either of them live now, right? Should she feel bad about that?
“Don’t act innocent, Brad. You know what you did to my girl.”
“Who are you talking about?”
She figured that was her cue. She stepped out of the shadows. “Me. He’s talking about me.
“Autumn? What’s going on? Why did you bring this man here? Why are you letting him do this to me?” Brad asked.
“What were you going to do to her?” Brody asked fiercely. He stepped up beside her. “When you hired that asshole to kidnap her, what was your plan? To kill her?”
“What? What do you mean?” Brad looked dumbfounded.
“You hired someone on the darkweb to kidnap Autumn,” the Fox said. “Don’t bother to deny it. I mean, I don’t mind if you do, but I really don’t want to get blood on these nice silk sheets of yours. Going to be a bitch to get out.”
“I didn’t . . . why would I . . . I wouldn’t even know how to do that . . .”
“It came from your computer,” Brody spat out.
“I haven’t been using my computer . . .” Brad turned to look at Laura, aghast. “What have you done?”
Laura? She did this?
How? Why?
She stared at her ex-friend.
The Fox moved around to take off her gag. She immediately started screaming. Autumn winced and Brody put his hands over her ears.
When she finished, the Fox sighed. “What was the point of that? This room is sound-proof. No one can hear you.”
“Did you hire someone to kidnap Autumn, Laura?” Brad asked.
“Of course I did! She should have died the first fucking time I had her kidnapped. But nooo . . . somehow, she survived.”
“Wait . . . the first time you what?” she asked. She was taking hit after hit. It was getting harder to breathe.
“When I had you kidnapped and given to the senator.” Laura smiled evilly. “I met him a few times. I knew he had . . . certain tastes. So I told his bodyguards I could supply him with some fresh meat. That’s why I convinced you to come to the club that night. Not because I wanted to spend time with your sad ass. I drugged you and then helped you outside the club where they took you.”
“I’m going to be sick,” Autumn whispered. Laura was the reason she was kidnapped? She’d always wondered why she’d been chosen by the senator . . . but she hadn’t. She’d been targeted by this bitch.
