“Yes, Sir.”

“Good boy. If you’re a very good boy for me, I’ll fuck you like this once this is all over while your mouth is buried in our girl’s pussy. Would you like that?”

“Yes, Sir.”

The Fox drew his finger from his ass and helped him stand, turning him so he could kiss him.

“My very good baby boy.”

Yes, he was.

Markovich had a lot of security at the house.

Luckily, the Fox could run rings around his men.

The Fox stepped into the main bedroom. Markovich was out tonight. And Dahlia was sleeping on her own.

Perfect.

He was itching for this to be over so he could get home. Both his Bunny and his Pup had given him nervous looks when he’d left. But they needed to keep the faith.

The Fox didn’t break promises.

And he’d promised to return home to them unharmed.

He moved up to where Dahlia slept. Setting down the sack he’d brought with him, he pulled out the small case holding the needle and vial. Then he got the injection ready before quickly pushing it into her neck. She gasped, her eyes opening, but before she could scream, she fell into unconsciousness. He carefully bundled her up into the sack.

Then he hauled her out of the bedroom. Thankfully, he got her out without being spotted. Getting over the fence was the hardest part since she was a dead weight. Normally, when he was carrying a body, he didn’t much care about what bruises he inflicted. But it was different this time.

Finally, he set her down in the back seat of his truck, drawing the sack away from her face just in case. But she should be fine.

Climbing into his truck, he drove away from the huge house.

“The bird is in the cage,” he said into the earpiece.

“Got it,” Brody replied with relief.

As well as Brody, the others were all standing by. But no one was following. They didn’t want to alert Mr. A as to what was going on.

“Don’t call me a bird, asshole,” a croaky voice said from behind him. “What the fuck did you inject me with?”

“Just a small sedative.”

“Why? I was always coming with you.”

“Made it easier and more believable in case anyone was watching.”

“Whatever. I better get paid more for that.”

“Sure. Now, stay quiet while I make this call.” He put the call through the truck’s Bluetooth.

“Why are you calling me?” Mr. A said, still using a voice distorter.

“I have the flower delivery you ordered,” the Fox replied.

“I never ordered a flower delivery. What are you . . . ahh.”

Jesus. Not that bright, was he?

“Need an address for delivery,” he stated.

There was a long beat of silence. “Fine. There is an old abandoned farmhouse about an hour’s drive south of Markovich’s house. I will text you the address. We will meet in exactly forty-five minutes.”

He ended the call and when the address came up, the Fox quickly relayed it to Brody.

“Everyone is going to rush to get into place,” Brody said in his ear. “But you’ll be on your own for the first part. And you’ll have to speed to get there in time.”

There better be no cops on the way.

“I have my lovely companion.”

“Screw you,” she said. “I think you gave me a wedgie.”

“Where did Ink find her?” the Fox asked.

“I met her when I was in the armed forces,” Ink said through his ear piece. He and some of the others were listening in from a different location. “Cara will back you up if you need it. She’s skilled and resourceful.”

“Aww, thanks, Trace.”

“Don’t call me that,” Ink told her.

“She better not be armed, they might do a check of us both.” The ear piece they both wore should go unnoticed. It sat in the ear canal and was flesh-colored. But they’d definitely notice if she was carrying a concealed gun.

“I’m not armed,” she told him. “I’m not an idiot, dickhead.”

He sighed. “Did someone not tell you who I am? Because you do not seem properly intimidated.”

“You need me. Not the other way around.”

“So you don’t want the other half of the money you were promised?”

He glanced back and she went silent. Yeah, she wanted it desperately.

“Fox,” Brody said in a quiet voice.

Right. Don’t take things out on the girl, even if she had a smart mouth and desperately needed a spanking.

“When we get there, I’ll carry you in,” he told her. “Act like you’re still unconscious so it gives us the upper hand.”

“I know how to play dead. I got this.”

He sure as fuck hoped so. This plan wasn’t anything he would have come up with. Basically, because he didn’t play well with others.

But she was right. He did need her. Because Markovich wouldn’t let him use the real Dahlia.

Damn rude of him really.

He’d done his best to help Cara look like Dahlia. It wasn’t perfect, but he didn’t intend to let Mr. A get too close to her anyway. He’d also disguised himself. Like always, unless he was with his babies.
