“Yes, Dante. Oh yes.” Her fingers tangled in my hair as words of pleasure spilled from her lips and her hips rolled against me.

A soft, rapid knock sounded on the door. “Daddy? Are you in there Daddy?”

Lucy froze and then laughed. “Duty calls. Daddy.”

I looked up and my nostrils flared as heat pulsed through my veins at her words. “It does.” My shoulders slumped forward and I laid my head on her belly, giving her sweet pussy another swipe of my tongue before I pulled back. “Rain check?”

She nodded. “You go take care of Lena and I’ll stay right here and take care of myself.” Her hand slipped between her thighs, the sound of her fingers dancing in her slick heat made me want to forget all about everything else.

“Lucy,” I growled.

She laughed again. “There’s my grump. Go,” she urged and shooed me out of the bedroom.

I found my discarded pajama pants on the floor and stepped into them.

“Um, Dante? You might want to cover up a little more.” Lucy pointed her toes at my midsection and I looked down.

My dick was hard and it tented my pants. “I blame you.”

Lucy laughed. “I’ll take the blame, but you should cover up for innocent eyes.”

I sighed and stepped out of my pants and into the boxer briefs beside them, then pulled my pajamas back on as well. “I’ll be back. Soon.”

“Hurry,” she smiled. “Daddy.”

I grunted and took a few steps back. “You’re killing me, Luce.”

She licked her lips. “I’ll be here.”

I smiled and shook my head before I slipped out of the bedroom to tend to Lucy. It was odd, having a woman in my bed in my home. I hadn’t had a woman here since Bethany, and I found it difficult to shut off the man part of me to focus on the father part. “What’s up Lena?”

“Is Lucy here?”

I nodded and guided Lena away from the bedroom even though my thoughts were still inside that room. “I’m sure she’s around here somewhere. What do you need?”

“I’m hungry Daddy.”

I smiled and picked Lena up as we made our way down to the kitchen for breakfast and I knew my naked time with Lucy was on a temporary, but long pause. “Let’s find some breakfast then. How do pancakes sound?”

“Yay!”

The next few hours were dedicated to parenting, and it wasn’t until late afternoon before I found my way back to Lucy and her bed.

Chapter 33

Lucy

It was official.

I was head over heels, goofy grin on my face, in love with Dante Rush. I suspected it for a few weeks now and I knew it was happening, but I’d ignored it. Told myself that it was too soon, and that Dante wouldn’t welcome the sentiment. Oh sure, I knew he liked spending time with me and that we had something, but I wasn’t sure about this level of feelings.

I wanted to tell him every single time I saw him. When he wrapped me in his arms and pressed his lips to mine, I wanted to whisper I love you in his ear. When I gazed into his handsome face as it twisted in erotic agony, I wanted to shout it on my orgasm.

But things have been going well, and I didn’t want to mess with something that wasn’t broken. Just as Dante had promised, we’d gone on dates and spent time together, just getting to know each other. I knew that his favorite food was lasagna, that he loved broccoli and hated asparagus. I knew that he’d wanted to be a professional soccer player and had started House of Rush as a run-of-the-mill textile company and pivoted to fashion based on the advice of a very famous fashion icon. Everything I learned about him only made me love him more.

And it was getting harder and harder to keep it to myself. But I had to, for just a little while longer.

Dante’s arms circled my waist and he nuzzled my neck with a low growl. “Lucy. You smell good, babe.”

Babe. Would I ever get sick of hearing that? I leaned back until my head rested on his shoulder and moaned. “Thanks. You feel good.” The feel of his lips against my skin was almost too much to handle and then his hands tightened around me. “Dante.” I turned and wrapped my arms around him. “Hi.”

“Hey.” He brushed a soft kiss against my lips and hummed his pleasure. “How’s your day?”

“Better now. Lena’s napping,” I told him and frowned. “Which means you’re home early.”

He nodded. “I missed you.” Another soft kiss that set my heart galloping like a wild stallion.

“I missed you too,” I purred against his mouth. “What are you going to do about it?”

“For starters, this.” His mouth descended on mine and the kiss was slow and intense, as if we had all the time in the world to make out like teenagers. His tongue teased me, slicking across my lips in a drugging back and forth motion that kickstarted my libido into overdrive. Finally his tongue parted my lips and our tongues danced together like we’d been doing this for years instead of just a few weeks.
