Brandon hints he might need me more than he first told my dad.
“I guess for now if May doesn’t mind. I could borrow her car, or as you say, she could drive me until I have my things sent up.”
“I still can’t believe you flew all the way, moving out here without any of your stuff.” Dad chuckles, failing to see the reason he got here so quickly.
He came here for me.
All the while, the space between my legs feels like hot lava as I watch Brandon’s incredible body move and flex under his sweater.
The man is huge. And he’s never once said anything about working out, and he eats whatever he wants.
Amazing.
I just hope he has a serving of May on his mind. And even though I was a little tender after our little welcome to the neighborhood party last night, I’m confident I could take all of him.
I think.
Okay, maybe half of what I saw last night, but Jesus, if he doesn’t put it in me soon, I’m going to turn one of these kitchen chairs upside down and do it myself.
“I’m free all day,” I let them both know, trying to sound interested but not that interested.
Brandon covers his mouth to hide his grin, and my dad gives me a strange look.
I guess I didn’t sound so casual after all.
I sound like a wildcat in heat, and it might make Brandon happy, but I notice my dad getting that suspicious look again.
But noticing the hour, he really doesn’t have any time to stand around wondering about the two of us.
He seems more determined to make a go of things now that Brandon’s here.
And if what I overheard last night is right, then dad’s gonna need all the help he can get if he wants to stop his business from going under altogether.
Once dad’s truck pulls out, Brandon and I know to wait.
We both kinda just freeze on the spot, waiting until we can’t hear his truck anymore.
And then I’m in his arms again.
It feels as though he’s never let me go, not even for one second. Even though I know we’ve both been up all night.
Needing this and a helluva lot more.
“My phone,” I say, but Brandon presses it into my hand without a word, kissing me hard and long.
Tasting and smelling like he’s freshly showered, shaved, and somehow more perfect, I’m done for already.
On the other hand, I’m still wearing the same clothes I slept in and have morning breath with a side of cheap coffee and cereal.
But Brandon doesn’t flinch.
He kisses me with all the passion he did last night and returning the favor, I have to tell him.
“I need you, Brandon,” I whimper, my voice cracking and my body even buckling as he pulls me closer to him.
My whole body is exploding with arousal, flushing through me all the way to where I need him most.
My hands claw at his chest, and feeling his heart pounding hard against it, followed by the unmistakable feeling of his stiff erection probing me, I know we’re on the same page.
“I wanted it to be special,” Brandon says, almost sounding disappointed.
“It will be special,” I counter, daringly running the flat of my palm up the front of his jeans, making him groan in a low tone.
“I meant somewhere special…not here,” he reasons.
“Then take me home, to your place. Or a ten-dollar hotel, I don’t care, Brandon. All I know is I just….,” I wheeze, feeling faint.
But his strong arms have got me and are sweeping me up off my feet in one single movement. I feel his shoulders and arms flex as he takes all my weight.
Lifting me up as if I weigh nothing.
“Then home it is,” he rumbles, taking long strides out the back door and easily stepping over the little fence that separates the two houses.
I don’t care if anyone sees us, not right now.
Right at this moment, the only thing that matters is giving myself to Brandon. I would’ve done that one thing last night if we hadn’t been interrupted.
But today is ours, with dad at work and not coming back until later. I can hardly contain my excitement until Brandon has us safely locked inside his new house.
The whole world disappears again, and it’s just as it should be.
Just Brandon and me.
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Brandon
A shower and a shave, a fresh change of clothes. The only thing I’m missing is my little virgin princess.
My queen is waiting.
I make sure to go next door while Steve’s still about, even though it’s early.
Don’t wanna give him any more paranoia than he’s probably already got, but Steve being Steve, seems to have forgotten all about his mood from yesterday.
And the prospect of more work coming his way seems to have eased his mind.
But as soon as he’s gone, so are May and me.
