“Nice cock,” I say, trying to throw him off whatever game he’s playing.

“Yeah? You think so?” The member in question jerks. “It’s leaking.”

My heart pounds in my chest when he swipes his thumb over the bead of wetness on the tip, and I watch as he lifts it to his mouth and sucks it clean.

“I was just fixing to jerk off.”

“And you couldn’t do that in your bedroom?”

I slowly draw my eyes up his body, spending an equal amount of time on his abs as I did on his dick before locking eyes with him.

“I like to mix it up.”

His hand sweeps down his length again, and I have to swallow when he licks his thumb for the second time.

“You can stay and watch if you like,” he says, his voice full of gravel as he takes himself fully in hand.

That same dare is in his voice. He expects me to bolt, to take the out he’s offering.

When his other hand grips his inner thigh, I know there’s no way I’m going to miss this. I don’t question why I sit and stare. I probably will later, but right now, my brain doesn’t have the power for reason.

“Tell me what to do,” he hisses, his fist working up and down his thick length.

I don’t say a word, don’t open my mouth. I may watch, but there’s no way I’m going to interact in any other way.

“Love your eyes on me, Brooks. Mmm. Fuck.”

Maybe it’s the change in his breathing or the way he moans my name, but my own body starts to respond.

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen another guy jerk off. I’ve been to some pretty wild parties in my time, but this may be the very first time I’ve been frozen in place, feeling desperate for the outcome.

“Wish it was your mouth. Bet you’d suck it just right.”

I feel like I’ve been dropped into the middle of a porno, and as ridiculous as this situation is, I just can’t bring myself to pull my eyes from him.

I shift in my seat, drawing a chuckle from his lips. Apparently, I’m easy to read, at least for him. My head is a tangled mess of emotions and thoughts.

“Fuck, Brooks. You’re making me come.” He grunts a second before long ropes of cum paint his chest and abs.

His hand falls away, his eyes glassy as he watches me.

We stare at each other for a long moment. I have no idea what he expects from me, but he must not find it. He slowly gets up from the sofa.

“Thanks, man.”

“The meeting?” I ask to his back as he heads for the stairs.

“That was it.”

And then he’s gone.

I clench my jaw in irritation.

Did he seriously call me over here to watch him jack off?

I pull my phone from my pocket, looking back to the calendar Pam controls from the office.

Bremen 11 a.m. Meeting on entertainment strategy.

I guess I should be grateful that he didn’t give explicit details about which form of entertainment he wanted to discuss.

I stand from the couch, ignoring the issue in my slacks and make a beeline for the front door. I should tell Deacon what’s happening and insist on being put on another damn assignment.

I think of a million reasons why working with Archer Bremen is inappropriate, but walking around naked, masturbating, trying to kiss me, are all things some of our female clients have done to me in the past, and I didn’t have a problem with it then.

The drive back to the Blackbridge Security offices is too short, and I don’t make a single damn decision on the way there.

“Productive meeting?” Pam asks when I step off the elevator.

“Just talked about his next release,” I tell her, trying to fight the smile that wants to spread across my face.

I should be pissed, angry, scandalized, but I find that I’m not. I didn’t do anything inappropriate. I’ve done what needs to be done for the case while we’re in public, and I’ve kept my damn hands to myself while in private.

I never cross the line until the case is over. I stay professional, as hard as that is some days.

I find myself thinking about that insufferable rock star as I walk across the room to make a cup of coffee.

“Where’s your smile?” Jude asks.

“Left it at home,” I mutter.

“Problems with the Bremen case?”

I don’t look at him, making it hard for me to try and figure out if he’s goading me. Jude had to patch my ass up after that dog attacked me, and Deacon just happened to question what I was doing since I was supposed to be working with Archer, not getting my ass chewed on by a ball of fur.

The guys I work with are extremely astute, some of the smartest men I’ve ever met. I wouldn’t put it past Jude to have put several context clues together to figure out what’s going on.
