"Are you okay?" Logan asks, placing his hand over Dawn’s tattoo. The reasons behind it are still a mystery that’s driving me crazy. As Dawn nods, I rub my FOMO tattoo, recalling the bite of the needle and my drunken laughter.

The tattoo is a clue. Of that, I’m sure. A clue to a secret. Maybe even a clue to Dawn’s heart.

Dawn’s hands rest on Bradley’s shoulders, and she starts to shift her hips. Her movements are slow, as though she’s drunk on what we’ve done together, but Bradley more than makes up for it.

Watching Dawn’s body move makes my cock thicken, ready for more, except there won’t be more tonight.

I wonder, if she stayed with us, would she grow better accustomed to so much sex, and be able to handle us all for two rounds? Would a night like this be just for special occasions or every time? I think I’d enjoy a mix of both group, and one-on-one time. This has been the sexiest night ever, but I love the intimacy of being with Dawn and not having to share her.

"Oh god," she groans, grinding harder in Bradley’s lap. Is she going to come again? That’s got to be a record, or a superpower, or something.

"Shit," Bradley says, as Dawn arches her back and then snaps forward, collapsing against his sweat-slicked chest. Thrusting from beneath, he finishes inside her, clinging to our girl like he’s worried she’s going to blow away on the breeze.

Our girl.

The words form in my mind so easily, and I wonder if my friends are thinking it too.

I know reality is so much more complex.

As Bradley rests back on both his arms, his chest heaving with exertion, I scoop Dawn off his lap and into my arms, cradling her close.

I kiss her damp forehead and her closed eyelids, savoring the sweet smell of her hair and the raw scent of her skin.

Mine, my mind whispers, and I clear my throat, not wanting to accept the stupidity of my possessiveness. She isn’t mine. She isn’t even ours.

All of this is just a mirage, moments that will feel like a dream when whatever is temporarily tethering her here comes loose.

"You did so good," I tell her, glancing around the room at my friends. "You did so good."

She makes a soft humming noise and then clears her throat. "I don’t suppose any of you happen to have a burger and fries in your back pockets?" And then, like perfectly timed punctuation, her stomach rumbles loudly.

It’s a moment of lightheartedness after so much intensity and the effect is magic. Laughter ripples through the group, and Dawn’s face is alight as she takes in the effect she has on us.

"I can rustle one up," Bradley says, patting her affectionately on the ass.

"How about rustling up ten?" Lachlan says, and we all laugh again, including Dawn.

Half an hour later, we all sit around in various stages of undress, stuffing our faces with juicy burgers and crispy French fries, laughing, and joking without a care in the world.

But that all changes in a flash.

COOPER

The sound of glass splintering, and a loud thud interrupts our middle-of-the-night feast. Me and Lachlan are the first to react, sprinting towards the noise, and looking frantically for the source. The office window is shattered. Lachlan unlocks and bursts into the room, swearing loudly and grabbing for the brick resting in the center of the floor, the implement that caused the damage, picking it up before I can tell him to leave it where it is as evidence.

"This is Barrow," I spit. "It has to be."

"Gutless bastard," Lachlan growls, resting the brick on the desk and shuffling the glass aside with the toe of his foot.

"It’s a message."

"Aye. Cooperate or else."

Dawn is next to reach the scene, closely followed by Mitchell and Jared and the rest. "What the hell?"

Lachlan looks up and as his eyes meet with Dawn’s, his shoulders lower and his expression relaxes just a fraction. She has such a calming effect on him and it’s a big relief to us all. The last thing we need is him lashing out and damaging his hand again, or something worse. We need to keep our heads while this situation is playing out. If not, we won’t have a chance of getting through it. "We need the CCTV," he says.

"Fuck" Mitchell growls, taking a seat behind the desk. "If we had it fitted, we might have the evidence we need to implicate Barrow."

"We need to get this window repaired," I say. "I’ll organize that."

"What, so someone can toss another brick through it?" Jared snarls.

"We’re going to need to take shifts to patrol the property," Lachlan says. "Now we know Barrow is going to use threatening tactics. We can’t risk being caught out again."

"We can do that," I say. "There are enough of us."
