Ryan’s head shot up and he looked at me. I winked, and a wide smile erupted across his handsome face.
“I’ll have the same,” Blayze stated.
Looking up at the hostess, Ryan nodded. “Make that three.”
She asked for ID from all of us, then quickly headed toward the bar.
Our waiter, Carl, appeared minutes later with our drinks and asked if we wanted to hear the specials. Once he was finished describing an array of amazing-sounding cuisine, we ordered. Blayze requested the Moroccan-style lamb shank, Ryan went with steak frites, and Georgiana and I both opted for pan-seared salmon.
“I’ll have your salads out in a few minutes,” Carl said as he gathered the menus.
“This place is beautiful. It’s hard to believe it’s here in Hamilton,” I said as I glanced around the restaurant.
My gaze caught on a stunningly beautiful woman sitting at the bar. Her blonde hair was pulled up in a French twist. She was dressed in a black pencil skirt and an amazing white blouse that fit as if it had been sewn onto her body. Everything about her screamed “famous” or “model.”
“I wonder if we can get her to model some of our new designs,” I said as I took a sip of my beer and casually motioned for Georgiana to check out the woman.
“Savannah?”
I gaped at Georgiana. “You know her?”
She nodded. “She’s Bradford’s girlfriend. You’ll know exactly who she is once you get a good look at her.”
Right at that moment, Savannah turned and looked directly at our table. A wide grin spread across her face, and she slid off her tall chair and made her way toward us.
“The newscaster on channel twenty-four!” I exclaimed.
“That’s her,” Ryan confirmed with a chuckle.
“Hey, you guys,” Savannah said when she stopped at our table. “Bradford mentioned you’d be coming in tonight.”
Ryan and Blayze both stood to greet her, and Savannah laughed and motioned for them to sit. My goodness, chivalry wasn’t dead after all, at least not with those two.
“Savannah, I’d like for you to meet Morgan Shaw,” Ryan said as I pushed my chair back.
Reaching her hand out for mine, she said, “Please don’t stand. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Morgan.”
“Finally?” I asked.
“Ryan and Blayze speak about you so much, I feel like I know you already. And of course, Georgiana,” Savannah added with a sweet smile on her face.
“Is this person bothering you?” A male voice behind me made me to jump. “Sorry about that!” He stepped toward Savannah and kissed her—rather passionately—in front of everyone. Granted, we were tucked away in a corner, but it was nice to see a man who wasn’t afraid to show his feelings.
“I hope you’re Bradford?” I said, laughing slightly.
“I better be, or Savannah’s in trouble,” Bradford quipped while he slid his arm around her waist. He glanced around the table. “Everything okay so far?”
“Everything’s great,” Ryan answered. “I appreciate you getting us in tonight. I owe you.”
Waving off Ryan’s words, Bradford replied, “It’s the least I can do for friends. Now, you have to introduce me to the lovely lady. Don’t tell me you’re Ryan’s date?”
My cheeks heated. “I am. Morgan Shaw.”
Bradford’s grin widened as he looked at Ryan then back to me. “Morgan, I’ve heard so much about you from your brother. It’s so nice to meet you.” He reached for my hand and kissed the back of it lightly. “Ryan mentioned you’ve been wanting to try out our little restaurant. I hope you enjoy the food. If not, I had nothing to do with the cooking.”
We all laughed, and Savannah beamed up at Bradford. You could tell she was in love, and from the way he returned her look, he was as well. They made a cute couple.
“I’ve taken the liberty of ordering the table a bottle of wine to go with the meals you picked out. If you don’t care for it, please let me know, and I can have Savannah give it a shot. She really should be a sommelier with how well she knows her wine.”
Savannah lightly hit his chest. “Stop it.” When she looked back at the table, she explained, “My grandparents own a vineyard in Sonoma, so I grew up around wine.”
I smiled at her. “You know, Georgiana and I were talking about doing a wine and cheese night at the boutique once it opens. It would be wonderful to get your input.”
Savannah’s eyes lit up. “I would love that! Thank you, Morgan.”
Bradford kissed Savannah on the cheek. “I need to get back to the kitchen. You let me know if you need anything, okay?” he said, glancing around the table.
“Will do. Thanks, man,” Blayze said.
Before he left, Bradford looked back at me. “It really was great meeting you, Morgan. And whatever it is you’re doing to make this guy smile like that—” Bradford nodded to Ryan—“keep it up!”
