"Turn," Che demanded, voice rougher than usual. His impatient hands didn't wait for me to comply, but helped me start the motion until my back was pressed to his.

One hand was still between my thighs, and the other grabbed the waistbands of my pants and panties, dragging them down, giving him more access as his fingers moved from my clit to thrust inside me. My ass wiggled shamelessly back against him, rocking in a circle as his fingers started to fuck me harder, faster.

His free hand moved up, slipping under my shirt, cupping my breast, then working my nipple into a tightened bud.

And I swear, everything fell away.

The last few weeks of stress, the uncertainty of my career, the events of the night. All there was in the world was Che.

My walls started to tighten around his fingers, and I could almost feel the beginnings of release.

But Che's fingers pulled from me, making a primal sound move out of me, half a growl, half a cry.

"Turn around, preciosa," he demanded, voice rough.

When I did, I found him reaching into his wallet, producing a condom, then slipping it on.

Reaching down, he snagged the back of my knee, pulling my leg up, opening me up to him as he placed my foot back on the bumper of the car.

His hips dipped, then jerked up, his cock filling me with one thrust.

"Fuck," he hissed, forehead pressing to mine for a long second before his lips claimed mine, and he started to thrust.

He fucked me like that for a couple minutes before suddenly pulling out, grabbing, turning, and pressing me forward against the hood of the car, before thrusting into me, harder, faster, driving me up toward that precipice.

One hand moved around, slipping between my thighs, working my clit, as the other went to cover my mouth, muffling my moans as he brought me closer and closer to the edge before, finally, pushing me over, letting me crash down into my orgasm.

I was thankful for the car beneath me, because I wasn't sure that my legs would have held me up as the waves kept crashing, as Che kept thrusting through the orgasm, dragging it out, before slamming deep, and hissing out my name.

We stayed that way for a long moment, trying to calm the chaos coursing through our systems. But soon, the sounds of the woods started to come back to me, remembering where we were, that anyone could happen by at any moment.

Climbing off the car, I found my pants and panties, pulling them back on as I let out a strange, choked laugh.

"What?" Che asked, head ducked to the side.

"Nothing. Just... that was very appropriate for us," I declared, waving at the car as I reached under my shirt to get my bra back into place.

To that, a smile tugged at his lips. "I wanted you in bed, taking my time. But I couldn't wait anymore."

"We will hopefully have your bed back in the near future," I said, moving in front of him. "You know, if we don't all end up in jail. Speaking of, we need to get back. I promised Huck I'd only be gone for an hour."

"Mmm," he said, reaching up to frame my face. "Just one more minute," he demanded, sealing his lips to mine.

We drove back toward Teddy's in silence. Normally, that might have set me on edge. But Che's hand moved out as soon as we climbed into the car, resting on my thigh as I drove, a steady, reassuring, maybe even possessive touch, making the silence feel comfortable and needed after such a crazy night.

"Fucking finally," Huck growled when the elevator doors opened into Teddy's apartment.

"It took a little bit to find him," I said, going ahead and leaving off our little detour in the woods.

"Give me five," Che said, moving down the hallway.

"Did he handle everything?"

"Yeah. The burners are gone. He already handled the guns by the time I got there."

"Good," Huck said, taking a deep breath.

"Any word?" I asked, looking over at the TV playing the news coverage of the shooting.

"News says there's no leads," McCoy said, but his voice was tense, his mind likely going over every detail of the night, trying to see if there'd been any screw-ups along the way.

"We have Arty doing some digging," Remy added.

"And Booker," Huck said, dropping his voice even though Ayanna was nowhere to be seen, "is going to sniff around for us with some of his buddies in the department over the next few days."

"We're looking alright," McCoy told me. "We all," he added, waving to himself, Remy, Seeley, and Che as he moved back down the hallway, "are going to need to spend some time in that coffee shop every day for a while, so no one points us as new and suspicious. But once we handle the car, I think we are going to be alright."
