I’m out front waiting for you. Take your time.

“Who’s out front?” Tracey whispers, reading my message. I put my cell back in my bag and sit in the same spot with my leg bouncing, knowing he’s out front waiting for me. “Just go.”

I shake my head. “No, I’m watching to the end, he can sit out front and wait for me.”

She turns back to watch the movie. I try to control my bouncing leg but all of a sudden, those lips and that mouth pop into my head and I can’t contain myself.

The movie comes to an end and I try not to walk too fast to the front, to see where he is. The minute we leave the cinema, I spot him leaning up against his car, dressed in a flawless black suit with his hair tossed back in what looks like perfectly fingered hair.

“Shit, he’s even better close up,” Tracey whispers next to me. She’s right, he is. He only gets better and better every time I see him. He nods to Tracey then holds open the car door for me as he looks me up and down. I hug Tracey and she walks off to her car. Getting in, he shuts the door behind me. The leather seats are like nothing I’ve ever sat in before. They even feel warm. I touch them with my hand and sure enough, they have definite warmth to them. When he gets in he’s watching me.

“Was someone sitting here?” I ask still touching the seat. He looks down at it then back to me.

“It’s heated.”

Holy shit! Who has heated car seats? Is that a thing now? I really need to buy a car soon. He pulls out when I’m buckled in and starts driving to my apartment. “Were you going out after?” he asks me. His voice is strained like it’s painful for him to ask.

My forehead scrunches, trying to think why, then he briefly looks down at my dress and I remember what I’m wearing. My cheeks go bright red and I have to look away.

“I like it.” He coughs and I turn to look at him. He’s now concentrating on where he’s going.

I study him while he isn’t watching, from the way his muscles contract as his hands squeeze the steering wheel to the shape of his face. He’s like no one I’ve ever met before. He’s a mystery that intrigues me.

“Are you this accommodating to all your staff?” I ask as he comes to a stop outside of my place. I grab the handle but wait to hear what he has to say. I really want to know.

Turning off the engine, he gets out and is at my door before I can move, pulling it open and waiting for me to slide out. As I do, my white heels hit the concrete and his eyes travel down to them, then the length back up until our eyes hit each other.

Those eyes.

Those fucking eyes fuck me over every time.

I’ve never seen eyes that hold so much, yet so little at the same time. Mystery is all I see in them.

“Only those my lips take a liking to.”

My head drops as the smile touches my own lips, remembering how he tasted and the way he made me feel. Alive. Vivacious. Energetic.

“Don’t tell me you kiss many of your girls?”

He knows I’m referring to all the girls which I found out from Johnny he hires. Johnny explained that it’s what he’s good at. Girls have an issue, it’s Creed they go to. I’m still trying to work out why, because not once have I seen him be affectionate to any of them, or even caring. He does what he needs, no issues, just gets it done. Maybe that’s his trick, he doesn’t get involved in anything else—only the work.

Creed doesn’t answer me, so I grab my key from my bag and walk to my door, stepping inside. He pushes me through, shutting the door behind me, then slams my back into the wall. My breath leaves me so fast at his action, and all I can do is cry out as his hands touch my waist. They burn, in the best way humanly possible. My skin prickles in goosebumps everywhere and he’s not even touching my skin yet, only through my dress which I might add is fabulous. His breathing becomes harder as his eyes lock onto mine. Then ever so slowly he pushes himself to me, our bodies now touching. Not flush, but I can feel him, almost everywhere. I ache to lean forward to feel all his ridges and curves, but I restrain myself and hold back.

“My lips.” He breathes into me. Like he was made for me, that the air he’s about to supply me with is my next hit to live. I need it, want it. He pauses, leans forward. His breath tickles my lips and all I can smell is mint. I lick my lips, his eyes following my action. He looks back up to me, then quickly back to my lips.
