There was just something about this woman. About her vibe, about the shit she said.

Even shit like how she’d said I need to fuck you instead of the expected I need you to fuck me.

It was a very pointed difference, one that said she was fully in control of the situation. Which, of course, she was. The women always are, at the root of it. But that distinction made the whole thing feel different.

I didn’t even get her fucking name.

I mean, I’m no prude. I have and always had gotten around. There was nothing wrong with two consensual people enjoying casual sex. That said, I at least learned a woman’s name before I stuck my cock inside of her. Granted, no, I probably didn’t remember most of those names. It seemed important, though, that I knew them at the moment.

It wasn’t my dismissiveness that resulted in me not knowing her name, either. It was her choice.

Fucking wild, that was what the whole situation was.

I stood there, legs still fucking shaky from her Grade-A pussy, watching her walk away until she disappeared into the darkness.

I had no doubt that she could take care of herself, even in this area, but I felt guilty as I got back on my bike. I even drove around a bit, looking for her. Not in a creepy way. Just to offer her a ride again.

Wherever she’d gone to, though, she was nowhere in sight.

Not able to shake the sting of disappointment, I turned my bike back in the direction of the alley I’d abandoned Levee in, but he was long gone too.

One look at my phone said he headed back to the clubhouse, but that text didn’t come until about five different ones asking who the woman was, where we were going, etc.

Rolling my neck, I made my way back to the clubhouse, finding it lit up with some music coming from the backyard.

Levee, it seemed, hadn’t been done with his womanizing for the night. He’d probably texted the club girls on his way back home, telling them to meet him there.

There weren’t many of us single guys left.

Levee, me, Alaric, and—if we counted him, which we did, albeit not officially—Eddie were all that was left. Though, from what I heard, Huck was actively looking for more prospects.

We could use that.

Because on nights like this, when I wanted to just head to bed, Levee would start shit about me being a killjoy for not wanting to party. If he had other friends to spend time with, I’d get a little more peace.

“There he is!” Levee said, standing in the pool with two girls under his arms and a beer in his hand. “Wasn’t sure I’d be seeing you again tonight,” he added.

“Heard you rode off with a hunnie,” Eddie said, nodding his approval as he flipped something on the grill. Judging by the smell, ribs.

It didn’t matter what time of the night it was, Eddie was more than willing to get some kind of food going. If you dared to suggest we just order in, he would look genuinely affronted.

“When I am standing right here?” he’d asked, shaking his head.

And, really, if you could have Eddie’s food, why the fuck would you want to order in cheap, unimpressive alternatives?

“Yeah,” I agreed, grabbing a beer, and popping the top off.

“Who was she?” Levee asked, untangling himself from the girls who pouted at him, then amused themselves with each other. Either from genuine interest in one another, or to entice Levee to come back and join them.

“Fuck if I know,” I said, shrugging.

I didn’t tell them about the car, about the chase. I couldn’t tell you exactly why. I guess because I knew that would have to be reported back to Huck, then there would be questioning. And I wouldn’t have answers to any of those questions.

I didn’t know why she was being chased, what she might have done. What she did for a living. What her name was.

All I knew was what her arms felt like around me. How she smelled like a mix of coffee and chocolate. How she moaned when my cock was inside of her. How silky her hair was when it was wrapped around my hand.

None of that would be useful to Huck or the club.

Besides, I knew I was never going to see her again.

The crazy shit was, the idea of that gave me this weird, uncomfortable knot in my stomach.

“Some gorgeous chick jumped on the back of your bike, you drove off with her, and you don’t know who she is?” Levee asked.

“She was gorgeous, huh?” Eddie asked, turning with sauce-covered tongs, looking between the two of us.

“Oh, man,” Levee said, taking a dramatic pause to sip his beer. “Tall, long, shiny black hair, great thighs, hips, and ass, wearing nothing but a bikini top and a short skirt. And combat boots,” he said, raising his brows at that one.
