I’m not sure if it’s because of the pregnancy driving her hormones wild or because every time I see her walking around with my child growing inside her womb, it makes me mad with lust for her.

She moans as I start kissing her neck, right on the spot where I marked her as mine a few months ago.

I slide my hand up to her swollen breast and start playing with it gently. They’re tender and I can’t squeeze them as hard as I used to, but that’s okay because they look fucking irresistible. Especially when she’s riding me and a few drops of milk leak out from her firm nipples.

“What are you doing?” she asks with a laugh as she drops the baby books in her hand. She was busy setting up the library in the baby’s room when I came in to distract her.

“I think it’s time to take a break. With me. In bed.”

“We took a break about an hour ago,” she says with a moan as I kiss a trail over her collarbone.

“It was an hour and six minutes to be exact.”

She laughs and complains that I’m distracting her, but her hand is reaching back and she starts stroking my hard shaft.

“We’re never going to get this room done,” she whines as she presses her ass back against my throbbing erection and starts grinding on me. It feels so good, I’m close to nutting from this alone.

I’m so unbelievably happy with this girl. She is a pure delight. In every way.

Not one day goes by—not one minute—that I don’t thank the universe for bringing her to me. She’s my fated mate and I love her to death.

I’m beginning to unbutton her maternity shirt when all of a sudden, I feel a kick against my palm. I gasp as I yank my hand back in surprise.

Willow laughs. “It was just a kick,” she says as she grabs my wrist and puts my hand back. “Lauren is saying hi.”

I smile and feel my heart fluttering when she kicks again. A little high-five from my unborn cub.

We’re having a girl. Willow wanted to name her Lauren and I had no objections. I think that we could give her any name and she would still be the cutest, most perfect girl in the world.

“You’re amazing,” I whisper against the hot skin on her neck.

She laughs as she turns around in my arms. “What makes you say that?”

“You’re carrying my child and doing it with an angelic grace that’s hard to fathom.”

Now, she really laughs. “Oh, please! Angelic grace?! I spent the last month puking, my ankles are so swollen that they’ve disappeared, and I just scarfed down two peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. I’m anything but angelic.”

“I wish you could see how perfect you are. How stunning and beautiful. How smart and accomplished. How much happiness you bring me. I wish you could see yourself through my eyes.”

She gives me a shy smile as she watches me watching her. “You look at me with such love and adoration. I’m beginning to see…”

I let out an involuntary growl as she presses her hips into my hard cock. She’s giving me those seductive fuck me eyes as she plays with the bottom of her shirt.

“Still want to continue working?” I ask with a knowing grin.

“Maybe we could take a break. It has been an hour after all.”

“An hour and eight minutes,” I correct. “Way too long to not be inside you.”

She gasps and then laughs as I scoop her up in my arms and cradle her to my chest as easily as I did before she got knocked up by her insatiable mate.

I kiss her hard on the mouth and then carry her into our room to make her mine.

Once again.

Epilogue

Willow

Nine years later…

I wake up to the pounding of rain on my window and smile. I love that sound.

It always reminds me of my first time with Cameron when he took me in the rain all those years ago. We’ve had many beautiful moments since, in all sorts of places and positions, but that first time will always hold a special place in my heart. It was incredible.

I reach for him but come up empty. He’s always up before me. I swear this bear shifter doesn’t sleep more than four hours a night.

So, I just stretch out in the bed, enjoying the crisp cool sheets as I watch the rain pound against the window.

At first, it feels like I could stay here all day, but eventually, the urge for some coffee gets strong enough to pull me out of bed.

The entire house is singing with the pinging sound of rain on the windows as I tighten my robe on the way to the kitchen.

“Cameron?” I call out. There’s no answer. “Lauren? Blake? Valerie?”

Looks like I have the house to myself. I look out the back window and laugh when I see my four bears playing in the rain.
